This, taken in context with the Texas border issue and several states (including my beloved Tennessee) siding with Texas in a standoff with the Fed, I am beginning to sense a weakness in the American Empire, a certain fragility that smells like the empires of history that have first lost their outer provinces, edicts go unenforced and "tribute" uncollected, until the empire is a shell of its former self.
The Roman Empire, the Ottoman Empire, and many others after them are prime examples. What I would hope to see come out of this current situation is a rebirth of the American Republic.
They probably will. It is one of the many things I don't have time to look into. I believe there is a legal issue with how they joined the US. I think there is also a legal issue with Ottawa having any rule over the provinces of Canada as well.
There is alot of hate towards white people on the islands. Which I'd be pissed too if I had a work culture of sun up to noon, then foreigners come in and tell you have to work all day.
But, i think this is more of a deep state thing. Hawaii is clearly where they wanted their smart island, and comfy elite housing. Now the elite want the island, and don't want it under U.S. rule. But why is the question?
And I'm sure that a seceded Hawaii will still allow for US bases to exist not only for civilian jobs, but out of fear that someone else might just annex them.

I had a younger based Verizon tech AR my house last week. We were talking he was in the military with high security clearance. We talked about FL and he said do not go there. Then I said TN and he said yes and get some land and plant your own food.
For an island that is 100% dependent upon the mainland for oil, gasoline, food and basic living needs; they sure like to throw their weight around. They have 4 days supply of gasoline
They don't have the agricultural capability to be self-sustaining. They are protected by military bases - if they succeed, which imho, they are welcome to do - either you are a part of America, or your are not.

Hawaiian’s have never wanted to be part of America. They were treated as bad or worse than the Indians. White man came in and took over. Hawaiian’s couldn’t speak the native language and they were very mistreated. I’m not saying all Hawaiian’s feel this because I don’t know. I don’t believe they will ever succeed because the top politicians have betrayed their native land for money. Most of true Hawaiian’s are very poor. Many say Hawaiian’s would not survive without the tourists industry. They survived 100s of years being self sufficient before America came in. It was a land grab for money and to control that region of the world. I’m not Hawaiian and can’t speak for them. Visited once and feel in love with the people so I’ve researched a lot.
