What else could it be? How does a roof have ANYTHING to do with a natural wild fire? Unless that roof has a water canon on it, it wouldn't.

Ceramic roofs, metal roofs, have a much less likelihood to catch fire as opposed to asphalt or wood shingles

Once the fires were raging the roof color would make no difference if it caught fire. The Maui fires were bad because of high winds, roof color would not have saved a house from catching on fires from embers, but a roof made of high-gauge metal would have.
Electromagnetic fields can stop a fire. Perhaps those blue roofs have some kind of wiring for solar panels that retard fires?

Research the massive fires in Chile. Homeowners were slapping blue paint all over their roofs.

That sparked an idea I had then forgot - with all the tech advancements it is amazing to me nobody has created fire-proof lacquer to coat your frame and fire-proof drywall. So I went and looked and there are options available. Perhaps we should start building homes with that stuff??
I built out of poured concrete (ICF). My roof is steel, so is my siding. It won't rot. No insects eat it. Very fire resistant. Extremely durable. And it has great thermal mass to buffer fall and spring when days are warm and nights are cool.

Simplest explanation is hot cinders get picked up by the wind and deposited on rooftops. Depending on the material the roof is made of it may resist combustion.
But yet metal cars burn.
Roofs can be made of certain types of ceramic shingles or heavy duty metal as opposed to asphalt or wooden shingles.

Heavy Gauge metal, and certain types of ceramic shingles will drastically reduce the chances of your house catching on fire.
Depending on the laser, certain colors won't burn. It doesn't stop fires, it stops DEWs from being effective. There are videos of lasers being moved across a substrate with various colors and blue for example won't burn but others will.

Exactly what you said there "it doesn't stop fires" once the fires were raging there was nothing to protect these blue homes from the fires other than having heavy gauge metal roofs, so this theory breaks down there.
I'm heavily scrutinizing this blue roof theory because I see a lot of chatter about it, and people are passing around obviously fake videos showing lasers from space. When I see disinfo agents trying to pass off obviously fake videos as real my BS meter goes off, and I feel like our community is being played. The deep state disinfo agents like interjecting these fake theories to muddy the waters, and getting us looking the wrong direction.
The frequency / wavelength of a laser determines the color of the laser. Simply do a bit of research into how interacting with a material of a certain color vs the wavelength of the laser affects the result and you have your answer. I am not referring to YT videos by some rando. I'm referring to videos from scientific tests. BTW watch Rumble instead of giving profits to YT, a communist company. The blue roof can negate the effect of the laser if the laser is of a certain wavelength. A roof won't stop a raging fire burning next to the house. DEWs are real. Whether they were used in Maui or TX is a question I can't answer but for Maui there are a lot of anomalies pointing to external man-made heat sources applying heat in a very targeted and direct way. I lived on Hawaii. Stuff there is wet, humid. Koa wood which most old buildings were built from is a very hard dense wood and would need a significant heat source to get it to ignite and self sustain itself on fire. I don't doubt that lasers react differently to different wavelengths. The guy on youtube burning different colors of microfiber cloth only had to change the frequency a bit to get it to burn the blue cloth.

So I'm an aerospace engineer and the videos I refer to were videos I've seen over the many years. I'm not going to spend time aggregating links and research for you. I hope you understand. I would suggest simply doing an internet search (don't use Google, another commie company, consider Brave or other options). While you can change the amplitude, wavelength, frequency of waves, the hardware becomes far more complicated. So you have essentially a laser of a particular locked-in frequency because that's how it was built. To a trained eye it is visibly and obviously wrong to state the Maui fire was natural.
