Exactly. They use the word so much they actually believe the United States is a Democracy. The United States is a REPUBLIC. By the people, for the people. Well, at least that was the original intent. 1871 and 1913 were both shots across the bow.
The difference between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party is what they say in public. Behind the scenes they are the same, but not for much longer. Our elected representatives for the most part are owned by those who run honey traps. Accept the wrong invite to a gathering and wake up with your pants at your ankles and a child sitting next to you. From that point on these people enjoy the money train as they get book deals and a shot at the big time. The truth is just that, in the end most of these lifelong "public servants" are owned and operated like puppets in order to NOT have the video or picture of their past coming out.
One more thing, it's important to remember this. Once somebody does something that is unforgivable, say murder or diddling a minor, they know that their trespass is so damning that they may as well just go for broke. What I'm saying is the gloves are off at that point. They decide that since they're at a point where they would be locked away forever or even put to death for what they've done that there's no reason to NOT continue. That my friends is how this all happens.
Now picture a swamp filled with people that have no fucks to give, have the power to change laws, charge people for crimes, and even send money to foreign interests in order to get their kickbacks. The puppet masters can make or break these people in one fail swoop if they do not do their bidding. What we have is an entire government of blackmailed and owned individuals who ALL take marching orders from the controllers. But what if......
What if the Bosses and Controllers start dying off? One by one they die or suddenly step down..... What would happen if overnight a group of decent, God loving individuals got their hands on everything? What if the "good guys" get all the dirty little videos and secrets of those being controlled? How could the good guys go about taking out the controlled evil doers without causing a huge national issue?
I'm sure some anon here could poop out a list of people who have either died or decided to step down from their powerful positions in the last ohhhh id day 9 months. I wonder what that list would look like?
At this point anyone that says muhhh 2 more weeks blah blah and tries to discredit those that say hold the line, yeah those people need to wake up. NCSWIC folks. Just because we're not hearing about the daily takedowns doesn't mean it isn't happening. Trust in knowing it really is happening, those that have used their position of power to destroy everything that makes the United States the beacon of hope and justice it once was are all going to find themselves gone.... Oh yeah.... You can bet your ass its happening.
Rant over, sorry for the wall of text. Not really, but yeah. Have a great day y'all
The United States is a Democracy. A Republic is a type of democracy. It's a representative democracy.
There are all types of democracies, but I've noticed those who think the US isn't one seem to believe there is only one type of democracy, a direct democracy, or "mob rule".
A democracy is simply a system of government run by the people. As opposed to monarchies, dictatorships, oligarchies, etc...
In the case of a Republic, the people choose representatives to vote and govern for them. But the people are still choosing.
So saying the US isn't a democracy because it's a republic is like saying Pepsi isn't a soda because it's a Pepsi.
When did all this "The US isn't a democracy!" stuff start? It's like one day I woke up and tons of people were suddenly claiming it. I get the feeling someone with a podcast like Joe Rogan said it, and people just went along with it.
Is it because the Democrats started screaming Trump was trying to end our democracy?
Or is it because "democrats" and "democracy" have the same roots? Like "republic" and "republicans" have the same roots? So you think democracy is bad and republic is good because of that?
I would really appreciate it if someone could explain to me when and why so many people started saying the US isn't a democracy.
Reagan would be spinning in his grave if he heard people saying that.
Even President Trump talks about how we're a democracy.
26:36
"For four straight years, our opponents have been waging an all out war on American democracy."
30:48
He talks about how the Democrats have made a new hoax about how he's a danger to democracy, but he's going to save democracy.
Kind of odd that the best president in recent history is not only acknowledging that the US is a democracy -but that he will save it -if we're not a democracy, but a republic. Right?
Our system was created in spite of democracy. "2 wolves and a sheep voting on whats for dinner," is a common quote im sure you're familiar with. The founders rejected every bit of the monarchy and its systems. When idiots say "our democracy," they are absolutely insinuating that we are not a constitutional representative republic. When you say democratic republic, you mean like Somalia? Afghanistan? China? The Congo? Some of the attributes may be "democratic," but we are not them. I stand by my previous statement.
Anyone who has read any of our founding documents understands that a democracy was repugnant to them and for good reason. JJ, you get it. Huge difference between a Constitutional Republic and anything else.....
A direct democracy, or "mob rule", was what our founding fathers were against.
If our founding fathers didn't want any sort of democracy then they really fucked up by making this a republic, which I have pointed out about 10 times here now, is a type of democracy.
Slighting or shifting the conversation to include statements made in a political setting is not really the gotcha moment you may think it is.
I realize in today's world the definition of such things like what a woman is or what an assault rifle is can change as fast as the algorithm can change it, which is pretty fast. I'm not trying to take away from anything you stated above, however, where in the Constitution of the United States is the word Democracy?
The term Democratic Republic may be found within the anals of History, but that term doesn't simply mean Democracy Republic.
I stand firm in my statement, as backed by many forefathers of the Country itself. For example.... In 1787, Benjamin Franklin said "A republic, if you can keep it" when asked about the country's new government. Benjamin did not say "a Democracy". Now if you postulate that I'm wrong I recommend taking that up with the National Archives.
By the way, it's the omission of the term Republic I'm most curious about. Citing democracy alone is truly the irritating part. I understand what your saying, I just don't agree that those that use the term actually know anything about what you wrote, instead their repeating shit like a damn parrot.
Where in the world are you getting that I called the US a "democratic republic"? Because I didn't. I said a republic was a form of democracy called a representative democracy.
Why would the Constitution need to include the word "democracy"? The concept of democracy has been around for thousands of years. The concept of republics has been around for thousands of years. These are not new concepts that need to be defined in the US Constitution.
In regards to what you wrote about Franklin...do you not understand the concept of how a republic is a type of democracy? Again, this is like saying Pepsi isn't a soda because it's a Pepsi. So it makes little sense for someone who is talking about Pepsi to make a big to-do about how Pepsi is a soda. Because most people aren't stupid and understand that Pepsi is a type of soda.
So expecting Ben Franklin to make a point out of calling the US a democracy when he's already called it a Republic is a bit like that. Because Ben Franklin wasn't fucking retarded and understood that a republic was a form of democracy.
I feel like I'm trying to explain advanced physics to a plow horse.
Seriously, people. It's not that hard a concept to grasp. I learned all this in 6th or 7th grade. Of course, I didn't go to public schools in the US, so maybe that's why I can understand simple concepts. 🤷
Nihilism is a family of views within philosophy that rejects generally accepted or fundamental aspects of human existence, such as knowledge, morality, or meaning.
Please read the post I made above explaining how a Republic is a form of democracy. A representative democracy.
There are also a couple of links to videos of President Trump talking about how he's going to save democracy. How is he going to save it if it doesn't exist?
Yet again, the Founding Fathers were talking about a direct democracy which is commonly referred to as "mob rule". We don't have a direct democracy. We have a representative democracy. They are not the same thing. I really don't understand why people don't understand this concept.
Could you tell me what you believe a democracy is and what a republic is?
I'm really interested in what you believe them to be. I honestly believe that many people have no clue what either are, and just go along with what others say.
I know the difference. I've explained in detail in my posts above.
But no one I've spoken to here has been able to explain their stance. Like you, they just say "We're a Republic!". Just saying "You're wrong!" doesn't prove I'm wrong.
I don't know why people respond to my posts if they don't want to have a conversation on the topic. Why is it so impossible to get anyone here to do something as simple as explaining what they think a democracy is?
Are you honestly unaware that there are different forms of democracy?
You realize that this is a subject that God only knows how many people have studied and written about for thousands of years.
I'm not just pulling all this out of my ass.
Here are some books on the history and nature of democracy, just in case anyone would actually like to, oh, I don't know, understand what they're talking about. I won't get my hopes up, though. But hell, at least I tried.

Democracy doesn't need saving. Send it back to France, we dont want it here.
Exactly. They use the word so much they actually believe the United States is a Democracy. The United States is a REPUBLIC. By the people, for the people. Well, at least that was the original intent. 1871 and 1913 were both shots across the bow.

An enjoyable rant!
Thank you anon.
Here's a fight video for the room. I especially enjoy Trump's words about taking on the establishment.

Think you need to go back to school.
I just wish people would stop using the term "liberal."
LEFTIST or MARXIST is more appropriate these days
True, but they identify themselves as "liberals," because it sounds ever-so-much nicer than "communists."
They wouldn't stop with that..

Excellent!!!
Tell it!…🤔
That's what they've been openly calling for.
They're Nihilists....

Libs and Dems want to replace the Constitutional Republic with a Multicultural Democracy. THEY are the real insurrectionists.
Only liberals still think we're a democracy. Every time I hear that word, I cringe.
President Trump references our democracy in his speeches all the time. Is he a liberal? Do you cringe when he says it?
Look at my post responding to "JizmJunky" above for links to videos of President Trump talking about our democracy.
I also explain how a republic is a form of representative democracy.

Lol!! Exactly 💯
In other words the left is screwed. 🤣🤣🤣
Democracy = "Electing" white collar gangsters who pretend to represent the people to the real Rulers.
