Judge Engoron is a creepy, partisan ghoul. I look forward to the inevitable backfire.
Creepy is an understatement! The bad feelings I get when I see his face, especially his eyes. So scary. Disbarment would be a good start with him.
Lefty states are starting to drop the "bar" requirement. Maybe they see the writing on the wall?
Walk him outta court and send him to Rikers Island-just like on Blue Bloods... 😒
He's got a John Podesta vibe.
He's dead and just won't lay down!
I truly believe that Engoron is a demon, a very evil, wicked demon.
He certainly looks the part.
But those fitness center chicks think he HOT!
He's a legend in his own mind.
The Deep State's minions ignore all lawful rulings, because they believe their Infernal Masters will make them immune to prosecution.
I look forward to the day when they discover that they are mistaken.
Engoron plays all this off as if he's doing the right thing; making the hard decisions, and has integrity. He won't acknowledge his insane partisanship and corruption, I wonder if he has deluded himself enough that even he believes it?
Slaves of the Deep State all seem to have an infinite capacity for self-delusion.
His hubris reaches Heaven, and, well, God will judge.
Wouldn't want to be him in that time.
Here’s a .48 acre undeveloped property in the same area code selling for $38,000,000.

And a .8 acre for $55 million.

Mar-a-Lago is a 17 acre developed property that Trump purchased for $7,000,000 in 1985 after driving down the ask from $20 million. Trump managed extensive refurbishments after purchasing the property.

I’m sure it’s worth less than it’s revenues, though. Only an idiot would buy that trash heap for $18,000,000. It can’t be worth more than $10.
FRAUD. How nobody realized this clear misvaluation to call trump out on it before Wise Old Judge Engoron is amazing.
Just look at this DUMP.

Yes, but there have a been a ton of changes to the RIGHTS of the property since 1985? Do you know why Mar a Lago is a commercial business now and not a private house?
Trump was flying high in the 1980s then hit hard times in the 1990s.
April 1991 Trump Taj Mahal files for bankruptcy https://www.upi.com/Archives/1991/04/09/Trump-reaches-agreement-with-bondholders-on-Taj-Mahal/7261671169600/
March 1992 Trump Castle and Trump Plaza file for bankruptcy https://www.upi.com/Archives/1992/03/09/Trumps-Castle-and-Plaza-file-for-bankruptcy/3105700117200/
Trump had personally guaranteed some of these loans and in negotiations with bankers, his personal spending was limited.
Because of this Trump found like Marjorie Post before him, that it was too expensive to keep Mar a Lago as a house. It was costing him $2.5 million a year.
Trump first wanted to develop Mar a Lago into multiple houses, but he was turned down by the town and he sued Palm Beach
he struck a deal with Palm Beach to turn it into a club and in the use agreement he gave title of the land to the club and signed a binding restriction that the land should be used as a club.
Later on he signed a conservation easement where he agree not to further develop the property. https://www.palmbeachpost.com/story/news/2017/12/21/trump-in-palm-beach-how-trumps-mar-a-lago-private-club-took-advantage-of-irs/6604307007/
Both of these changes saved him a lot in taxes. And are why Mar a Lago is not valued like the homes surrounding it.
It sounds like they pulled the tax valuation for the 18 million, then?
By that method, we could look at a 2500 acre farm in a prime soil area and say it’s worth $10,000.
I don't know about the farm valuation, but according the Palm Beach Post, Mar a Lago is taxed at $37 million
https://www.aol.com/upped-value-mar-lago-other-174412602.html
The 18 million seems to go back to 2011.
So the other thread has it backwards
If President Trump is guilty of overvaluing his properties in NY for 20 years, then NY owes him Billions of property tax Dollars.
The values on his tax statements were not the same as values on his financial statements.
I guess my point was more that this whole thing seems retarded, one way or the other. The specific pathway to divining this pathway of retardation is interesting, but doesn’t override the retardation of the situation as a whole.
Moral of the story maybe being - never elect a judge whose haircut indicates he likes sticking forks into power outlets, not that we actually elect any of “our” “representatives” or officials.

Today's ruling had nothing to do with the Statue of Limitations though. And the case hasn't been overturned.
Ivanka Trump got loose from the case due to the statue of limitations.
I think Trump might be talking about testimony, but I'm pretty sure none of the years affected by the statute of limitations affected the penalty.
He didn't say the case was overturned. He said it was the 5th time in this case he was overturned. As in 5 times so far Engoron ruled on something and was ultimately overruled.
As for the statute of limitations - he was referring to when he appealed on grounds of statutes of limitation. They were going after him for stuff as far back as 2011. The appeals court said they could only go back to 2014. Engoron said he can consider evidence from 2011, and that the statute of limitations doesn't effect evidence if it's used to help prove future issues inside of the statute of limitations. It will be yet another grounds for appeal.
My sense of overturned is a big reversal, not just a clarification or narrowing. Maybe I'm wrong.
The judgment wasn't overturned. The bond was lowered. I don't think Engoron ever had anything to do with the bond.
Trump said Engoron did not abide by this which is incorrect
Right pre 2014 evidence and testimony had to be connected to post 2014 charges to be allowed.
I'm pretty sure Trump tried to sue Engoron over this issue. The lawsuit was dropped with prejudice.
President Trump moved to Florida, because he knew this was coming.
So, what happens when a lower court judge ignores the ruling of the higher court (appellate court)? Do they do anything to the judge or keep letting him rule whichever way he wants to on the case? Shouldn't they overrule him and take the case away from him or something?
Engoron for suicide
Who can sanction this judge? Appellate Court, State Supreme Court, Kangaroo Court? Wait that’s his court.
