The fact that Anna Paulina Luna knew what to do and how to get it accomplished proves that she is both qualified to serve her constituents, and is a true patriot! This is not the first time she has stood up for our rights.
She's yet to disappoint me. I don't expect perfection, but it seems all of these people start to show swamp symptoms right around this point in her career ... she has yet to do that.
Still, it's good to see someone stand up and do the right thing, and shine a light on the traitors, who routinely violate the Constitution and their oaths of office to it.
You know what else it did? It bought people like me - whose CONgressman voted to re-authorize - time to hammer them with calls and emails before the revote.
You can google their name, but usually it will end up being lastname.house.gov. Most of them have a website with email contact info, and phone numbers should be there as well.
Gaetz and AOL have team up to sponsor a bill to end inside stock trading. AOL is definitely stupid, but she is not corrupt. The 'Shill' MTG and McCarthy both have large war chests, and still growing. Gaetz is shining the light on the corruption. Why didn't he share the bill with MTG? Hmmm
Maybe MTG just has her own projects or maybe AOL had already been working on this. Idk but MTG wanted to keep McCarthy because Trump did, maybe McCarthy would have done the right thing here. Idk.
Well, dude, she shouldn't be single handedly trying to "Save us all." There were about 211 others that voted the way she did. If they have any damn pride, they should all be out hustling at least two more votes to switch over to alter the outcome. And, no I have no problem with APL. At least, she did her damn homework.
Still with what we now know about how congress operates, it's wise of you to consider that any move by a rep might have an alternate purpose. For example, we know that often times a rep. needs cover for certain actions so that constituency "thinks" they are actually trying to do the right thing, even though the action has little effect on outcome.
Two clear case of this is when a rep votes for passage to move a bill out of conference for a floor vote, and when floor vote takes place and there is more than enough votes to pass bill, the vulnerable rep are allowed to vote "no" as though to tell the voters they actually have a backbone.
The other method was demonstrated by none other than the Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, the blustering Ted Crews when with a long winded filibuster he protested against congressional member not having to abide by Obamacare rules. Not a chance in hell he would be successful, and if there was the chance, he would not have taken it. But hey, in the mind of the ignorant, he looked every bit like Davy Crockett standing at the Alamo.
Imagine what we could achieve if Republican party wasn't filled with RINOs. If it was a full on MAGA political party, we'd fix the country basically overnight.
A response to this X post on X (twitter). Kid Rock “For What It’s Worth”. I never liked Kid Rock and I can’t tell you why. The only song I liked was Picture with Sheryl Crow. About seven years ago I was going to a concert and Kid was the opener. He rocked and since then I started paying attention to things he would say. I personally don’t think he’s always lived the straight and narrow but few of us have. Now he has my respect. This is a great cover of a classic rock song.

She is one of the best in the House.

So are you suggest the inimitable, pillar of enlightenment, the brainiac Hank Johnson would not be similarly capable?
Hey! I will have you know ... Hank is busy trying to save Guam.
Leave him alone.

If Guam was composed of gases like the moon, it wouldn’t tip over
That's quite a crew they got there in DC.
That Barnacle has spent too much time under Guam
… and the above while being ill.
Counts double.
Or that it's a movie...
It worked if it leads to a different, desired result. Otherwise, its just merely delaying the inevitable.

If your rep voted YES, contact them.
Good point, do we have a list we can post? So people know if they did and how to contact them?

You mean AOC?
They always like to have both R and D onboard to co-sponsor a bill.
at least she's trying dude; single handedly trying to save us all

Those who never try fail 100% of the time.

I seriously hope that DJT gave Johnson a Come to Jesus moment! How did Johnson get to Mar-a-Lago so fast?
Good question. 🤔
Doubt it was a commercial flight.

Madness.

I wrote to my Rep yesterday right after I saw he voted Yes in Roll Call #119.
You can use [Rep Last Name].house.gov to find their contact info.

…lost by one vote.
What a sorry state of affairs.
