I wish gas stations here in CA would display the price for the actual gas, and then itemize the added taxes, like this receipt does.

Because I live in paradise. 10 minutes from world class beaches, miles of great mountain biking trails minutes from my door, solid red politics (despite what outsiders have been led to believe), beautiful weather, beautiful women, etc.
That would also be a retreat, giving up ground. I live here and most of the people I meet are conservative. On the coast is the worst parts.

Minneapolis is only a skip away from being Chicago. In many ways it’s worse. I was appalled at the depravity downtown has become when I went down there a few weeks ago. The only thing I saw that I liked was some drunks peeing on a G Floyd mural.

Well the 7% tax goes towards many things your receipt lists it. That's a better way to follow your local money if it's being spent where it should. Because without a receipt like this and cities continue changing the names of operating funds and moving the money around you cannot follow it. That would be following their corruption.

I’d like to think we’re getting closer to a “tax holiday” or even a top down purge. I don’t know anyone who isn’t tired of being fucked by the government.
I live in Dutchess County, NY. The school system taxes here are on the order of $34,000/student/year! The cost of living in NY might be 25 to 30% higher than in southern states, but the cost per student for schools down there is typically 1/2 to 1/3 what it is up here! I am so disgusted with how incompetent/corrupt taxpayer funded things are here in NY!
When I was there last week every restaurant added on a 3% fee. Some called it "Wellness Fee" but one was more honest and it just said "Inflation Fee".
