This is something that needs to be added to our Constitution and US Code: that, while serving in any official governmental capacity, not only do they lose their party affiliation, but they also lose the ability to vote as long as they collect a paycheck funded by the taxpayer.
They can't effectively operate a govt while holding allegiances to anything but our Constitution and The People they've been sworn to protect. This should also include any local city/county positions, as well as contractor or sub contractor roles and also while se ving in the military, either Active or Reserves. And it should also include a provision that if the will of the people be subverted, it carries an automatic trip to Leavenworth AND a fine up to and including forfeiture of ALL incomes earned while in that govt role. It should also include in it that if you're a member of any union, or association like the AMA that you are forced to resign from said organization. It should also include a provision against letting any dual citizens serve in any elected or appointed govy office, title, etc. It should also include provisions against what we all know to be insider trading. Should also include a provision against allowing the revolving door of govt service to corporate service and back again for the remainder of their lives. If you leave govt service for any reason, sucks to suck but you won't be allowed back in. Last it should also include any family members being withheld from serving in any govt capacity while another member is serving.
