Our resident liberal at work was explaining that we all start out as female. During the process the y chromosome gets added to some and turns into a boy. So girls can just add or boys cut off to switch genders.....
I said I think that we all start out as liberals. At some point God decides to make some of them different so he adds the other half of the brain.
I will likely end up in the supervisors office....
If you get in trouble just say this:
"I was just having fun, i knew they were lying, because while it's true that all embryos start out with a structure that could potentially develop into female genitalia, it's the presence of the Y chromosome (and the SRY gene it contains) which is what determines the development of male genitalia. The Y chromosome isn't added, it's there or it isn't. I was making a similar statement so they could clue in to how absurd they were being."

Had somewhat similar conversation with buddy of 20 years. His son came out a couple of years ago as a women (so trans). He texted me today since I’m the resident conspiracy theorist in our friend group. After talking about the assassination we move on to Biden dropping out. I suggested that they would do an open primary with Michelle Obama securing the nomination- the only problem is that she would be outted as trans - he goes I never heard about that- I then proceeded to send him the Ellen dance video. Wasn’t until I read this post when I said oh fuck!

Still, your co-worker is wrong from a biology standpoint. The presence of the Y makes the male. Human females have Barr bodies, which are essentially dormant X chromosomes. You can't add or subtract a chromosome. Though it sounds like this co-worker might have an extra chromosome.
