Even if it's not one of the main things it would need to include to carry some real weight and signs of repentance would be "We fired these people: ______, that pushed / approved these poor choices and we promise never to hire anyone with their priorities/values again"
Name fucking names and show me actions. The same people that push these policies could be writing these words.
If it is legit, this is the wrong attitude. These companies are conned and leveraged into these poor choices. Apologies, and corrections, when sincere, should be openly accepted. Change is what we are after. If they are willing to rise above it, we should support them as it lends itself to a healthy economy and a better chance at leading others to do the same. That said, I need something more than a letter that may, or may not, be real. My $.02.
So, discard me too for being played, for a large portion of my life. I assume you knew the game all along. Don't get me wrong, I've never been a fan of the system. I dropped out of high school and went it on my own. Regardless, I was still played like a fiddle. I, however, want American business, and economy, to succeed. Past transgressions be damned. If they are not against me, they are with me (i.e. maybe Musk. Maybe). However they reach that conclusion. You know, as long as no kids were harmed in the process. I am not holy enough to look past that.
Dont look like a win to me. Looks like they are still going to pander to the rainbow. They just staye they never had hiring quotas. Which they did have for their suppliers. The rest is jargon for "the person that made the decision will still be making the decisions"
I think you're right, but ... back in 2021 I went to the West Hollywood sheriff station to get some paperwork. Traffic was really horrible, but it was the wrong day to go for a different reason: it was the pride parade day. Among other things I saw was a big group of Harleys with rainbow flags parked at a bar.
Looks fake to me. Not on company letterhead, no signature. If it's NOT fake, it's not an official statement at best.

Too little too late.

It is the correct attitude.
They play these games non stop.
They go along with this crap then come out after the fact and say my bad.
Call it out day one.

At least you are honest and learned.
Amen.
Get an Indian motorcycle!
Indian bikes are only assembled in the USA... most of the parts are made in CHINA
If that's the standard, then there are zero American made motorcyles.
Correct.
Looks pretty weak to me.
I would not go out and buy a bike after reading that.

I have a feeling that not many gays ride harleys, but I could be wrong times have changed

They work hard to infiltrate everything.
If real, still horse puckey.
Our 'negativity' was designed to divide Harley riders? WTF? They can have their "joy" but they don't get a dollar or any respect from me.
Go woke go broke
They're dead to me. Will not spend a single dollar on anything Harley Davidson.
These "BERGS" seem suspicious too. How do we know that they are not just going to continue the DEI mission but, without calling it "DEI"?
So, they're just going to be more discrete with it?
Yes, but the fight isn't over...it's just one small victory. Add them all up, and we are winning this war!
I agree we're making progress. I just am not going to trust them outright.
