You are correct. I don't buy any of these tweets when they show stuff like this. There are plenty of instructions online showing how to make the idiot box say whatever you want.
I do a lot of smart home stuff, with Home Assistant as my base. I have everything I can get off of the cloud and controlled locally (thanks HA!). I'm starting to play with their local digital assistant and there are still a lot of people asking questions about Alexa in their forums. Hopefully they get their assistant working properly soon (it is making great strides) because they anonymize queries to the Internet now, but they are still using either the pc/mic/speaker or a bastardized home-built smart speaker that will never pass "the wife factor".
Remember, amazon has thrown billions into ai with dei training systems added in. They also had a major incident where their ai started self destructing due to said dei training systems.
