I am 55 and this is only my 3rd presidential vote. I refused to vote red or blue until....President Trump came along. He made me take notice. I refuse to vote for another politician that is in it for a career. They are all crooks. Worse than crooks. They are soulless meat bags that would slice your throat for a quarter.
I wouldn't vote red or blue either, which is why I'm Independent. I always voted for 3rd party candidates and voted Republican for the first time in my life in 2016.
My views line up mostly with the libertarian party. I respect what you are doing but they have no chance at all. Its almost a gimmick. Why even waste the little time it takes? Just to exercise your right to vote? I think we are going to find out this year, finally, how little that right means. If not, its over,
I hope we Virginians get Hung Cao in this time!!!!

Well, that is great news, congratulations!
This may be the first election I vote in that will be above board, fair, and maybe turns out the way I wanted. The last one I can think of would be Ronald Reagan, where he even won MD, my home state. Not to diminish your vote, but just to add to the fact that we (Americans) may have been voting in elections that were already figured out, for quite a while. If not the elections then possibly just the nominees.

Congratulations, my wife was so excited for her first presidential elections. I told her after work we would go and vote. She was so excited she went by herself. So I asked her about the ballot and any referendum questions. While she talked to me I realized she had voted for everyone both Republicans and Democrats. I informed her she spoiled her ballot. She was so upset. I told her she needs to read each question carefully. Long story short she's learned her lesson. We talk about the issues and go over the ballot. Referendum questions are always gotcha questions that hurt the property tax payers. I have shown her time after time the consequences of saying yes to more spending. Anyway. Congratulations Welcome to Citizenship and your duty to participate in our governance.
