Pence made sure it could be claimed MAGA had a motive by posting a letter on Twitter a few minutes before the Electoral Count started. The letter said his interpretation of the law was that he was powerless to stop the steal.
A responsible leader would have said nothing, dragged out the proceedings until the crowds had headed home, and then, in the wee hours of the next morning let the certification take place. He released that letter to make the false flag plausible.
