First show me that Trudeau was elected honestly, without vote rigging and cheating. If he was elected by fraud (probably)... then why even discuss him being a threat to democracy?
In Canadas form of Constitutional Monarchy, I thought the Governor General (where the Governor General represents the Monarch) asks the leader of the majority party to be PM and that person is not voted in by the People as our President is here. So in other words Trudeau wasnt elected, his party was and as the leader of that party the Governor General asked him to be PM.
I dont think the PM even has to be an elected Member of Parliament, just the majority Partys leader. It would be like the House going Republican and then the Chair of the RNC becoming President.
The Party with the second highest number of seats becomes the "Opposition Party'.
The PM still has to retain support from the majority of the House of Commons and that is where no confidence votes come in.
The PM can ask the Governor General for elections at any time but it must be no later than 5 years after the last.
In a no confidence scenario the Governor General may choose to ask another Party leader to form a Government or he may choose to call snap elections.
In France they have a mixed system borrowing from both a Parliamentary and a Presidential system. Macron is President and chosen by direct vote. They still have a PM. That is why their government can be dissolved by no confidence but Macron stays in place. The same wont happen with Trudeau.
In a parliamentary system, each constituency votes for a member of parliament (MP). The party with the most MP’s usually forms governments, and they can select any MP at any time to act as the Prime Minister. In practise, it’s almost always the person who ran as the leader of the party unless they leave or get forced out.
One big difference between the Canadian and U.S. systems is that the Prime Minister isn’t an executive in the sense that the President is. I’m not even sure if these executive orders are legal in our system. But it fits with the trend of our governments increasingly ruling by emergency authorization and decree, circumventing the parliamentary process.
He is still in power the same way Trump "lost" 2020 and the same way Kari Lake "lost" AZ and the same way...on an on an on for the last 5 decades. FRAUD! RIGGING! DEMOCRATS! DEEP STATE! I am so tired of the corruption and know not how to end it.
And add Macron to the list and our socialist pope! ALL illegitimate! Until we have a way to end it all it will continue and at my age I will never see it end.
Wish me a happy 80th on 2/15/25 - I honestly think I deserve a happy birthday surviving all the crap that came my way over the last 4 years. Still kicking, although not as high! Love you all!❤️
"Among the spokespeople for the convoy of trucks and cars occupying capital streets is a former RCMP sniper named Daniel Bulford who served on the prime minister’s security outfit.
Bulford is linked to a group called Mounties for Freedom that says vaccine mandates are “crimes against humanity” and claims to have members from, among others, the RCMP’s elite counter-terrorism unit."
If its even possible to do what he's doing, do you have a democracy or a dictatorship with extra steps? With no checks on what their government can do to them, the Canadian people are relying on the robber barons to be bored of robbing.
I don't understand why the rest of the nation doesn't just ignore his king like rulings. My opinion is he can't do shitnif businesses and banks and schools and especially local government and law enforcement don't follow him. They are the threat more than that homo.
What democracy?

They should have realized that earlier when he had peoples bank accounts frozen for protesting or donating to the protesters.
And he froze the bank accounts of protesting truckers. I would love to see that guy go down.
Honk honk
Did they not notice his behaviour the last four years?
You mean the last 10?
He is his father's (Fidel Castro) son after all.
How is he still in power? Is the election system that fucked in Canada? I bet his security detachment hates him. Or, they are all compromised.

You will live long enough to see some big changes when Trump and his team take office.
Happy early BD fellow Aquarius. Mine’s the 11th.
Your bet was a winner:

Problem with this is, the prime minister of Canada doesn't have the ability to make 'executive orders'
Haven't you heard? King Turdeau rules by Divine Right.
His handlers must really be tightening the screws on him. This reeks of desperation.
Fidel Castro Would be proud of his son
He was in "education " wasn't he?
Welcome to our world in the U.S.

Canada has no meaningful cultural identity without the queen (I’m a Canadian).
