They don't care about anyone or anything but themselves. They will do anything at all in order to feel good in the moment without understanding anything at all.
They will break everything in their selfish tantrums, laying waste to centuries of progression based on solid foundations of deep universal human truth, just so they can feel good in the moment yet truthfully feeling dead inside.
Every leftist friend I have is miserable. Their life is objectively terrible and they can't work out why they aren't happy even though they do everything they want whenever they want it.
In short, they are living in hell because they have discarded the will of God. They have rejected everything that God tells us will lead to true happiness in their pursuit of momentary pleasure.
Weather you believe in an actual God or not, the teachings of His message will most likely lead to a good life. It's no guarantee, of course, but it gives you the best chance at a good life.
I grew up on the books. I used to read them back to back in the early 90s. Followed a totally different storyline. Then Disney comes out and claims they are no longer canon and ended up ruining the entire series. Out of all the shows and movies they have made in the Star Wars universe, there are only 2 that are not absolute dog shit(Rogue One and Clone Wars). Was never a fan of Disney, but after what they did to one of my favorite franchises, now i hope they burn.
Star Wars was deliberately trashed because it was such a cultural icon. It was just one more thing to be bent and twisted along the road of destroying the formerly heroic American culture.
This might be a bit of a new hope for you: At the "Star Wars Land" in Disneyland in California, called Galaxy's Edge, there are indications that they may actually bring in a Luke Skywalker character. This short video was released a few days ago:
Correct. Lucasfilm trashing was payback for soft disclosures done by G. Lucas during the 1977-1985 and 1994-2001 mini-awakenings. Spoiler: “The Empire” is the globalist-nazi (stormtroopers), satanist-controlled (Sith), US gov’t.
As a rabid pre rogue one star wars fan for the last 25 or so years..... Tell me more because i've never heard of this and assume GL was either bad or turned a blind eye due to his friendship with Spielberg who I thought was unsavory, but i could be wrong!
I suspect that Lucas was kept on a tight leash by his association with Spielberg after Lucas's independent success 1977-1981, kinda like his "assigned handler/mentor". Unknown if Lucas ever was co-opted by Spielberg and his cult, but it appears to me that Lucas did not "drink the koolaid" based on his "hermit-like" lifestyle away from the spotlight at the very least during this 1977-1985 period. Lucasfilm exhibited significant independence still in the 1994-2001 period, indicating that Lucas was not compromised (or forced to comply with globalist agenda) until sometime after the 2008-9 financial crash. Unknown if financial shenanigans were used against Lucas in the 2008-2011 timeframe to get him in line. Lucas was/is extremely protective of his children for good reason.
I suspect Lucas was an abused child, thus his powerful imagination was likely his "protective retreat".
I only accept George Lucas's blessing on anything Star Wars related. That means: Star Wars I-VI, star wars games, stories and video games up till ~2010.
The story creator had no role in it? it's trash that even the ewok films beat
I was blown away watching star wars in the theater in the 70s. Nothing like it visually before.
But as I got older. I saw on screen a civilization that could traverse the galaxy, build weapons the size of moons that could destroy planets. Yet go into land battle with giant metal camels that can be defeated by a rope. So f'ing stupid. Clearly written for 8 year olds.
Many of us remember seeing Star Wars on the big screen as almost life-changig.
It was a watershed cultural moment. Remember how it totally eclipsed the first real "blockbuster," Jaws?
Heh. I was in my late teens around the original trilogy, and could see the stupid, I just didn't give a damn because it was otherwise exactly what I wanted in a story. Clear good and bad, optimistic, just pure fun adventure, and pure fun adventures had been kind of missing in new movies for a while back then.
I loved the old adventure movies, but while there were lots of otherwise pretty good movies made during the 70s before Star Wars, that type of pure, kind of innocent adventure had been mostly missing, and what's more, I had been a science fiction fan from the time I had learned to read, and familiar with lots of the old pulp science fiction adventure stories, and Star Wars was that, except as a movie with special effects better than ever before in that type of science fiction story.
And there hasn't been all that many good pure adventure movies made after the revival Star Wars started either. Looks like pure clean adventure style, no matter what genre otherwise, may actually be one of the hardest styles of stories to bring to a screen, as you can still mostly count the really good ones made during the last decades and end up with less than a 100 movies. The OT Star Wars trilogy, first 3 Indiana Jones movies, Willow, Big Trouble in Little China, Romancing the Stone, Princess Bride, first two Mummy movies, National Treasure, The Mask of Zorro...
My number 1 wish for a movie is to be entertained. But I am a moody prick and sometimes I trash a scene because it doesn't take physics into account. My cross to bear.
I do like your list. Much entertainment within it. Loved Big Trouble ..
Eh. While the premise of his real argument is true, Star Wars is still just a story. And that particular trilogy of stories will forever have an asterisk next to it in the minds and hearts of all true Star Wars fans, as in, it's not part of the original cannon of Star Wars stories. As such, it holds no real value or meaning to any of us.
Just like this whole "trans the world" push we've been exposed to. True humans throw no weight of value into any of their arguments. However, just like with Disney's Star Wars stories, were still left fighting their dogma. And that is what's so infuriating about the trans movement. We know it has no real value or meaning, yet we are being forced to confront it for the safety of our future generations.
A couple generations down the line, those new generations will look back at this era of humanity and ask themselves, "why were these trans people so stupid? Didn't they see the futility in the vanity of their pursuits? Didn't they realize it was ultimately an argument in futility?"
Just like any true Star Wars fan l, or even a true Disney fan for that matter, has asked themselves as they watched Disney go down the crapper, "Didn't they see the futility in the vanity of their pursuits?"
Any "Star Wars" fan worth their salt could see from the "The Force Awakens" in 2015 could see the direction it was headed along with every single film that came out of pedowood. Anyone remember when the left went nuts over "American Sniper"? 10-12 years later pedowood is like a washed up crackwhore. Good riddance.
This is the left in a nutshell.

Spoiled Children of Spoiled Children ; something Royalty has been dealing with for millennia. But Royalty went to the Darkside ( the easy way)
" Be Best" or I prefer Be Better
Epic share fren

And they inherited most of Clone Wars. As it was already mostly done and animated by the time they made the acquisition.
They literally had a license to print Money for years. And could have done so many things.
Yet they squandered it.
I feel the exact same regarding Doctor Who.

Thanks for the info fren! I'll look into this a little more cuz star wars, as it was, is near and dear to my heart.
Your heart is not the only one broken by what has happened to our beloved Star Wars, but we will Make Wookiees Great Again (MWGA)...this is the way.
I mean this was pretty much the reoccurring slogan of the movie...
Translated: let the past (your culture, heritage, traditions, standards, education, community) die, because muh progress.
Kyle Katarn stole the plans to the Death Star.. not Jyn Erso
And we have live action cutscenes to prove it https://youtu.be/pbgfYsKar1E

I would trade every Star Wars entry Disney had a hand in, for one prequel-quality movie wrapping up the story after VI.
That was glorious, fren. I too was a fan, now a distant memory, I focus on our reality.

In my neck of the woods, they both stayed in the theater for over 9 months.

I saw it at the drive-in as an 11 year old.
Ditto.
Although I still appreciate the originals as parables of our reality.
That was good!! Thanks to your sister!
The first Disney movie was already pretty damn stupid, and the only one of their sequel trilogy I bothered to watch.
I used to be a fan. Big one, back when the original trilogy came out, I was a teenager back then.
Yep... :(
What? A company that facilitated and covered for pedos could or would destroy Christianity? Are you sure?
In the 80 / 20 rule, Disney picked the 20

I started reading the old Thrawn trilogy again the other day, it's that good.
Plot twist, the empire is the conservatives trying to restore law & order and the "rebels" are the liberal antifa blm rioters, causing chaos.
