It doesn’t matter what the Senate passed, they just had to pass something to get the Budget Reconciliation process started. Now a team from each chamber will work to “reconcile” the two different bills.
The resulting budget bill then goes back to each chamber for approval. The good news is the final, negotiated bill cannot be filibustered in the Senate.

Sometimes folks need a good hard slap in the face to bring them back to reality. This might have been one of those moments.
Ok, that'll be my next step with hubby. We just had this conversation yesterday when he was telling me how good Cornyn sounded on TV. I said, "That's what he always does, he says what he thinks we want to hear on TV and then when it comes time to vote he fucks us".

If we failed, I would say it's because we believed liars and cheaters more than we should have. On the other hand, it amazes me how few people vote in primaries.
It also doesn't help when you have the likes of McCarthy working to undermine American First candidates in the primaries and propping up RINOs.
They talk a good game when they're running for office and then revert back to RINO mode after being elected. We need to vote based not on their words, but on their actions.

Every one of them is and has been a RINO. Hawley disappoints me, but Cotton pisses me off. Of all Senators he should be a devout patriot given his specific military background. It just goes to show POTUS needs to work with SECDEF and root out a LOT of officers.

Every idiot that votes against deporting illegals, shrinking the budget, Trump's nominees, etc, gets an immediate campaign challenger. The moment they file for office, that person(s) should use Musk's money to run weekly ads, making sure everybody in the voting district knows what their congress critter is doing.
Not just any ads - cumulative ads. Like a checklist of bad choices, that gets longer and longer as time passes. Run every week, so the RINOs and (D)ems can't run and memory-hole their poor decisions.

To move it out of committee is to put it to a vote. When they do that they see what people are willing to accept on the budget. It’s the push-pull give-take. Can’t see anything until they do that other wise it just sits in individual committees and goes no where. Patients people. It’s time to have little faith in our Congress. It won't ever get to POTUS. ALL budgetary and spending bills are required by law to start in the House.
The House can use this if they want, but it will be gutted and cleaned up. Once the House is happy with it and passes their bill it can go to the Senate for any markups they want, or if they decide it is ok they can just pass it. They always change them, so it will go back to the House again, and then the Senate again ad nauseam.
I have always said Thune is a RINO, maybe he changed. I would not count on it.
Trump 45~47 will veto any money wasting budgets that come across hios desk. And thean he will go on the war path and use his bully pulpit and destroy anyone who gets in the way of of MAGA. Friends and foes will feel the heat.
