No military alliances with nations that do not allow their citizens to freely own firearms, and do not allow freedom of speech, journalism. (A couple of edge case exceptions may apply)
Being part of NATO is an absolutely moronic position for the USA to be in, and we need to end it. Those nations we are allied to do not share even our most basic, fundamental values. Let them pay for their own national defense, with their unarmed populations.
Honestly, the only country that I would personally even say would deserve that consideration would be Japan, if only because post WW2 the US has demanded borderline total disarmament while also playing "Nation Builder 1945" to reengineer the Japanese society.
Russia doesn't allow citizens to freely own firearms either. Just saying. Loads of restrictions. Can't own a rifle without years of a clean record. No automatics. No concealed carry. Everything registered with the government. Red flag laws in full effect.
Absolutely agree!
Don't leave one stick, nor nuts and bolts. Take down the buildings....level the bases. Don't leave any equipment, nor assets.
Empty lots. Bare land.
Europe isn't seeing as much China threat as other parts of the world. Let Europe defend themselves, WW2 was over 80 years ago and we have gone broke providing their defence while they screwed us at every opportunity. Our days of being the Khazar bully club are over.
China doesn't want to threaten Europe. An alliance is the ultimate goal. Russia is worried about being burned by China pursuing a relationship with the EU and leaving them out of BRICS. A free trade relationship between China and the EU leaves the US sidelined and Russia doesn't want to be on the wrong side of that like they were post WW2.
If China makes the case that they are the more reliable trading partner, and guarantees oil through Russia, we are fucked.
As crazy as it sounds, it seems like working economically allying with Russia could strengthen the balance of power positively for both the USA and them. They cant be any worse than the EU.
Sure but we're currently in a circle jerk. Russia is allied with China economically and militarily. China has minerals we rely on for manufacturing, as well as a much larger market than Russia. Russia only has some of those minerals (China accounts for 70% of global rare earth mineral production and has over 10x the reserves of Russia). We are tariffing China and they are blocking access to those minerals. China wants access to European markets so they want to see Russia expand their influence through Ukraine and oil/gas. The US wants to limit their power in Europe while still giving Russia an appeasement to stop advancing and give peace. The US also wants Europe to rely more on American oil and gas.
This is an overlooked question. China funds Russia in this conflict like we funded Ukraine. This is a proxy war with neither the US or China willing to land boots on European soil. Trump understands that Europe will eventually align with China if we don't get this right. After that, the US will be totally cut out.
Seriously. When did we become such cowards that we can't face our enemy in combat? We rely too much on simply dropping bombs from 30,000 feet and calling it a day. It makes war too easy, which is why we're constantly getting involved in them. But brutal face to face combat will make people (on both sides) reconsider. We need the world to know that we want peace, but if you force us into a war, then we will be right there, bayonetted fixed, looking them right in the eyes.
Keeping the Non-EU countries aligned might be a good idea, especially UK(Non-EU) and Iceland(Non-EU) to protect the GIUK gap. Honestly think Trump is pushing for Greenland so hard because of that(the G in GIUK)
Overdue. This would also put pressure on Canada, as they would lack one attachment to U.S. protection. And their attachment to the rest of Europe would be a big question mark. And pressure on Denmark, since they would have no Big Kahuna to protect Greenland (unless they made a deal with Trump separately).
I agree! Let the globalists fight their own wars!

Completely agree

Which countries are the most vocal about fighting Putin and starting a war with Russia?
EU NATO members.
They are like a bunch of snot nose brats throwinh spit balls at Russia while hiding behind the big strong guy.

Would withdrawal of all troops from Europe be prudent considering the China threat?

Someone has to blink, and it's not Russia.

Yes.
We should do this with a thoughtful measured approach. Close the small ones first and see how it goes, but definitely stop supporting foreign conflicts
I'll go one better, let's repeal the Dick Act.
Let's eliminate our standing army and go back to state run militias. That also includes eliminating the USAF.

"They have no national guard."
"Yeah, they're Dickless."
🇺🇸 NEXIT
its very clear that chatgpt wrote that article
We need to exit the U.N. even more
Won’t happen but I would support putting all of our troops on our borders, with orders to shoot any invaders. Maybe in the kneecaps.
Please please please.
Does this feel somewhat scripted?

I'm for this, yes.
This needs to be Stickied.
