He has really liked the role he got to play, as the heroic leader admired by everybody. Doesn't like that the plot got changed and he suddenly found the actual role was about to be revealed, that of a villain, a cheat willing to sacrifice his people to keep up his position in the eyes of the outside world (who knows what Ukrainians now think of him, for real...). The worst part for him may be that he knows he isn't even the archvillain, really just one of the bigger henchmen working for the real villains. Way less important for the real plot than he would like to be.

You touch on a good point. Do you suppose Trump will announce doing that in his speech tomorrow? I think it would be titanic. The Eurotrash are supposed to be having a big, important, consequential meeting tomorrow, before Trump's. I am willing to bet that, whatever they come up with to discomfort the U.S., a U.S.withdrawal from NATO would "trump" it. (No U.S. obligation under Article V if NATO decides to go "hot" with Russia. The U.S. can back away with raised hands: "Not us. You're on your own.")

So, a big Euromeeting tomorrow. And Trump's address to Congress tomorrow? Could it be that the Euros will try to announce something to discomfort Trump? And he has in mind an announcement that will derail them? I'm actually getting interested in the outcome.
Mostly, I'm hoping that his "I'll tell it like it is" preview means he will lay out a whole lot of background that the media has ignored, denied, or falsified. For dessert, I would look for announcements of corruption investigations into key Senators and Representatives (but that is admittedly hopium-calorie-heavy).
