Three financial issues that I would like to see before the midterms:
The IRS abolished
The Fed ended.
That every government employee, elected, appointed, civil service, at the federal level, state, and local levels, past and present, who has illegally obtained government funds, face justice and have their assets seized and returned to the people that actually paid taxes.
It will be interesting to see what happens at the state levels. This is where I always get screwed. Between property and state income, I pay far more for that than federal. Don't get me wrong - I would love for fed to go bye-bye, but I can also see the states trying to make a grab (cough, California) with some lame excuse.
There has to be a plan to stop them from just kicking the can of corruption down to a state level. States already have all of the theft of the fed, just smaller in scale. I'm with you on seeing how things play out closer to home.
The IRS is not just another shackle removed from the American citizens and their employers; it's another artery of the deep state being severed. USAID, the IRS, and soon the Fed Reserve. The intelligence community's criminals won't be fighting back because they'll be unemployed.
For a year now I've been saying Trump was going to do EXACTLY THIS long before he ever mentioned no tax on tips or anything like that.
White Hat John Titor, (177th Temporal Recon) told everyone this online 24 years ago.
Now here I am repeating the same thing for the last year.
What other things have I said are coming?
Not being braggadocious, just hoping people will understand.
5:5 yet?
Same reason states cannot get rid of taxes - too many people to pay off.
Without tying politician's hands in unbreakable cuffs, they will continue taking the easy way out, and fund everything they're told to. Only a balanced budget amendment will force them to make hard decisions.
I am not a financial expert, as may shortly become apparent, but if income tax is reduced it will leave the income earners with more money. As long as they spend that money and it incurs sales tax then the necessary amount of money could still be raised.
Remember, taxes are when the government thinks it can spend your money better than you can!
I agree. But it's still what it is. Until the US can start making up the difference, much of our food supply comes from outside the country.
If those tariffs that Trump paused ever really go into effect (doubtful), then people are going to see how much of their groceries come from other countries.
The same with things like toiletries and clothes and car parts and things they need to go about their day.
We could all become Amish or Buddhist monks or something, taking a vow of poverty, I suppose. But most people like their stuff. And, you know, eating. 🤷♀️

Summed up my wish list perfectly fren
Going with Door #3 here!!!
Same, but actually increasing the housing supply and allowing family sized apartments to be built too.
But how can Bernie Sanders afford his fourth mansion???
c'mon, man!!! all those mansions are carbon neutral and powered by unicorn farts and warm fuzzies!!!, right?....... RIGHT????
you just answered one of my BS questions
Can unicorn farts, however, even compete with Eric Swalwell farts? Maybe the wokes are saving Swalwell farts to power AI.

TY
I already ended my income tax. People died for this country, least I can do is check an "exempt" box on a w-4 and stop filing
Big-balls has entered the chat!
I bet you’re unvaxxed too. Good on you fren.
They won't. I know alot of them. Trump could save 30 children from a burning daycare and they would still hate him.
Until we have an ironclad Balanced Budget amendment, giving no wiggle room to the politicians, that will never happen.
Why not?

And pay for them.

His only problem now is going to be time he would need to Hope to get JD Vance elected and keep his legacy going that's a lot to do in 4 years
"When we're done, the D party will no longer exist" - Q (paraphrasing)
Not at the pace we’re going now.
Well, I guess that would be right if we viewed tariffs as a consumption tax.
I don't know that calling it by a different name would make me feel any better when the money is coming out of my pocket either way.
Consumption is a choice. The .gub jamming its greedy hand into your pocket while sticking a gun in your ribs is not.
