That's doubtful. Back when "acid rain" was a cause celebre, Congress commissioned a study of the problem. It turned out the acidity of rainwater was due to having percolated through forest mats of conifer needles.
I lived in a town where the local waterfront paper mill produced its own sulfuric acid from the high temperature combustion of sulfur, creating sulfur trioxide and probably also some sulfur dioxide. They made sulfuric acid by admitting the SO3 into vertical columns filled with limestone chunks over which water was percolating. H2O + SO3 => H2SO4. But some of the gas leaked into the local area. During a temperature inversion, it was a cap over the whole town. On a bad day, to go outside meant to breathe fire (formation of sulfuric acid in your lungs). But there was never any "acid rain," and we always had a lot of rain (which incidentally washed the SO3 out of the air). After decades, the mill shut down.

When people say "chemtrails" they are not talking about real, provable weather modification operations like the one here. They are mistakenly referring to vapor contrails left behind by airliners.

You know what's funny? The chemtrails conspiracy never seems to get "proven" with photos of the chemical storage tanks, descriptions of the aerosol injection system, numerous pilots coming forward (there are 700,000 commercial pilots in the United States alone), or fuel samples. ISN'T THAT ODD
The "storage tanks" I have seen are hoax photos of commercial aircraft in development, where tank farms are installed on board to hold water ballast, which can be pumped from one end of the plane to the other for center of gravity variation.
None of these photographic "proofs" have any provenance (i.e., original source that can be referenced). Like most internet research, it is "Trust me, bro." And we look down at normies for sucking up the "narrative."

The other photo that really drives me nuts is the 777 pilot that decided to jokingly type "CHEMTRAILS: OFF. | ON" into the ACARS system and I have seen that photo presented to me as if, see? See? They even admit it! The truth is leaking from the cockpit!

These characters show a video of humid air condensing as it flows over a wing and declare, "See? A chemtrail!" I've seen this so many times out of the window. It is the same phenomenon that forms lenticular clouds over mountain peaks, as the prevailing wind flows up, over, condenses, comes down, re-evaporates, and continues.

Air and soil samples prove nothing. You still have no evidence of WHERE any contaminants came from. Heavy metals? There are about 50 tons of microscopic meteoric dust that filters down from the sky every day. Just because you can imagine only one cause does not mean that it is the cause.
