YES! We paid social security and medicare taxes and income tax from our earnings all of our lives! HOW can they justify taking "income tax" on social security?? It was a forced "investment" into the government program, we had no choice but to contribute and all our employers also contributed. Now they dare to tax the return of our own and employers taxes paid, as INCOME??
Tax tax tax, and then tax the promised return when / if one reaches old age, as though it was free "income" paid out!! SHEESH!
and then they changed the rules as we went..now you pay for part b medicare after they raised the retirement age...when we signed up it was 65 and out not ant more....they just couldnt keep their grubby fingers off of it and milked it like a cow....bureaucratic piggy bank.......dont get me started lol
Hmmm... What if this law was designed with a legal crack in the armor that would allow a court challenge that ultimately results in this very outcome? Just fantasizing, but stranger things have already come to pass time and time again in this movie.
paying taxes on tips from day one never made sense. Something else that doesn't make sense is why government officials pay taxes from being paid by taxed payers.... wait... let me think better... paying taxes all by itself doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. I can see paying a tithe so to speak for military.
we need police but we do not need SS police with a thin blue line.
so military, police, fire, rescue.... how would we do focus on that?
when 99 percent of those who swore an oath to a USA Constitution can not recite the 5 parts of the very 1st A. then the 1 percent who can and claim they are not a lawyer so they do not understand the Constitution... Well that is when I knew USA was big trouble. took decades to get to where we are and those who actually knew and cared for US are no longer because they gave us the right to be lost.
the hope is there and it is growing and ever so fraction every second and it is progress. not a doubter.
Those "senators" KNOW which side their bread is buttered!!!!!! This is what PDJT was fighting for...get the peoples money back to them and stop ALL the hanky-panky in DC Sludge pit!!!!!
I personally don’t really see why this category of earnings is made exempt from taxation when so many other things are taxed. Arbitrary.
Now Social Security…just think what we could have had if we had just been “contributing” to our own retirement instead of a government program. I don’t even have a problem with mandatory contributions to a program as long as it is a personal one which remains with the person after death.
Isn't this going to pose a huge loophole though? I am all for it. My boss pays me minimum wage and tips the rest. I buy bread at the shop for 1 ct and I tip the rest.
now do social security

1983 - You can thank the genius politicians who voted it into law at that time.
Basically after you have out lived your most productive years, you are still a slave to the game.
Can I get paid in tips only from now on?
Commission
I get it.
cash
good idea, work for free but accept tips.
super smart. everyone should do it. They could call it malicious compliance.
I was thinking it's time to make all income, tips only.🤣

We wouldn't need police in a high trust society.
IIRC at one time the military was paid with cash ---- tax free.
How good can it be when this many Dems support it?
The cackler ran on it too. Lol

How did that tally happen?/?????/// Did President Trump have to put thousands of hundred dollar bills in the libs Christmas stocking, early?
No, he probably brought a red folder with him. That put the fear of God in them.🤣
Overtime???

Overtime involved ?
it’s not law yet—House approval is needed.
Nice. Hopefully my next haircut will only be 1 dollar with a suggested 24 dollar tip.
Guess who's invoicing for tips...

Someone unroll it just for the glory?
I thought this was part of the big bill that he wanted passed.
Jesus... imagine, just imagine if they could work together like this all the fucking time.... imagine where the country would be.
