"The post reports that U.S. District Judge Denise Casper, appointed by President Obama in 2010, blocked an executive order from President Trump signed on March 26, 2025, requiring proof of citizenship for federal election voting, highlighting a judicial trend where 49 of 61 judges ruling against Trump’s policies were Democrat appointees, per a 2025 Daily Signal analysis.
This ruling aligns with existing federal law prohibiting noncitizen voting (18 U.S.C. § 611), which carries penalties of up to a year in prison and deportation, yet challenges Trump’s order amid debates over election integrity, with no peer-reviewed evidence suggesting widespread noncitizen voting but some studies, like a 2014 Old Dominion University analysis, estimating isolated cases (0.0001% of votes).
The decision reflects a rare judicial override of executive action, surprising given Massachusetts’ lack of local noncitizen voting laws, unlike Maryland municipalities (e.g., Greenbelt, 2024) or New York City (2021), potentially setting a precedent for future election law disputes."
It's high past time for SC(r)OTUS to hold these wayward judges accountable. It's also high past time for POTUS to ignore the mandates of a district judge that holds no jurisdictional sway over anything outside their jurisdiction.
I do believe that the Secretaries of State have the right to set election laws in their states. I loved what our president tried/wanted to do. Hopefully he can come up with a work-around to the goofs that can do it, but they won't lift a finger to change it.
Or maybe he can appeal this decision and win it. The Dems/Commies seem to have/hold the cards in these scenarios: crooked judges making legal decisions out of nothing!
Make sure something gets done about this corrupt judge, sir.
Sooooo, lemme get this straight... A single STATE is going to tell THE FEDS that they can't do this to FEDERAL ACTIVITY?!?!
No no. A single person in a state is going to tell them federal government and the rest of the country. That is true power right there
That ther's some funny shit rat ther' ;)

"It's not going to affect anything, therefore we are going to concentrate on overriding it!"

Man oh man.
Congress is passing the law soon to require voters to be citizens. This will be a lot more difficult to step around than it is an EO.
It is common sense, why would a law be needed unless it was being ignored and they are voting in every election?
Nope. Unconstitutional. Just do it anyway. Defy her.
Time to get tough.
Hmmm... Black, female and an "Obama appointee." This is our Unbiased Judiciary, right?
