Smooth brained take. Where roads are limited access freeways with few if any on/off traffic then yes a high speed limit can be a useful thing. But in areas built for people to live shop dine work etc that have foot traffic the cars should be slowed down for safety. So obey the laws of the road they are there to save lives. I live in a tiny town up against the superstitions in Arizona, they don’t need to report it to anybody. We literally have a police state here a fake cop cars that hang out in speed traps. For a while there every time I left my house I saw another one of those vehicle vehicles. There’s four of them. How many tickets do they have to give out just to pay off the four vehicles since they are police vehicle vehicles. Then with all the fees that go to the courts and what not, how much money do they actually earn handing out tickets. Oh that’s right, it’s for my safety! They’re from the government and they’re here to help

I’ve owned two Fords across sixty years of car ownership and ten years as a service technician. To be fair, one of mine was an ‘03 Thunderbird, really a Lincoln, but it too became a maintenance money pit. They are and always have been junk cars from a junk company once owned by a junk family. Chrysler and GM aren’t far behind in the race to the bottom either.
I currently own a ‘15 VW Passat with over 165,000 miles on the odometer. It gets close to 50 MPG on the highway and around 37 MPG around town. It’s either my sixth or seventh VW, I’ve lost count.
Ugh and I really like my Mustangs, I guess I won't be buying a new Mustang.

My MIL drives a Traverse(Chevrolet), and it reports your driving as well. In the past I’ve driven her around and she reminds me not to brake hard, don’t speed, turn signals and everything. She gets a report in the mail usually after I drive. And there’s nothing wrong with how I drive. It’s just that dang vehicle reports me. I mean 32 in a 30, really! Love my Toyotas.
Does she have that thing with the ins company? I saw a while back there was something you could install and it rewards you for good driving. Of course, I said "No Thanks!"
