So, while it's disappointing that neither of them are willing and/or able to share with us the details of the combatants and connection to actual justifications for action, the Constitutionist can't embrace either rhetoric outright, as it doesn't follow logically that action against drug ships is either always justifiable or always unjustifiable.

If that boat were to contain a nuclear weapon and they were approaching our coast, how would you feel if it were taken out before it got closer?
