If the shooter was to the right and behind and above Kirk (which I do believe based on this video), then how would he have seen through the backdrop of the tent Kirk was sitting under to see the target?

He was not wearing a chest plate. The people doing CPR on the way to the hospital made no mention of that. And you can see in the earlier pictures that it's just a plain t-shirt with no plate under it.
The "outline" you're seeing is the billowing from what I think was his microphone battery pack detonating in front of his right shoulder and under the shirt - under that black square that you can see in the photos.
I zoomed out and I'm observing the effects of 9/10.
It seems to have created the intended effect: The galvanizing of the Patriot/Evangelical base & waking people up to pay attention to what's currently going on - even if it's factually incorrect, impossible or bullshit - Attention - that which MUST be paid - is now focused in the desired direction.
Just sharing my take... the HOW doesn't matter to me right now. Like the psyop expert told us, if people are being "shut up" when something happens, you KNOW you're in a psyop...

That begs the questions, who took the SIM cards and why? Why were they not left as part of the criminal investigation, why was Charlie's protection detail not allowed to use drones to prescreen for possible rooftop activity? There is a squirt of blood from the back right side of his head in a few frames before the wound on the front of his neck appears.
In those frames you see Charlie tense up from the impact, which is consistent with a spinal cord injury, before the exit wound forms on his throat area.
Suggesting the neck wound is the exit hole of the bullet and the real shooter was behind him on his right side and more elevated.
The video shows a picture before the shooting of a bush that could possibly be a shooter in a ghillie suit in the area we expect the shooter would be if that is the correct trajectory of the bullet.

I think the cause of death was the shoulder microphone pack he was wearing - it had the battery pack right underneath that black square that you can easily see on top right front of his shirt.
Same kind of device that was used a year ago to take out a whole lot of Hezbollah in Lebanon. It detonated and sent a projectile/shrapnel up into his neck, and also sent the earpiece cord flying because it was also attached to the battery pack.

This doesn't quite add up IMO.
