To be fair, the sign does explicitly make an exception for warrants.
I'm torn on this one. Obviously fuck leftoidism, in MN and everywhere, and deport all illegal aliens, but also private property rights are no joke and I think all government agents should be strictly beholden to the law because it's incumbent upon a free people to exercise and preserve their freedom. "The price of liberty is eternal vigilance" and all that.
Something tells me this shop isn't doing this out of principle, though, and is just virtue signaling that they don't like big meanie orange man taking away their cheap foreign labor I MEAN undocumented persons with hopes and dreams and thoughts and feelings and wants and needs and rap sheets 2 miles long.
Law enforcement would only enter for a law enforcement purpose with probable cause or a warrant anyway so it’s a pointless sign. They don’t need a warrant if they have reason to suspect an illegal is there. A warrant would only be used to search the premises for documents/evidence/etc., not to chase down a suspected invader they have reason to believe is inside.
If it’s a public establishment then they cannot discriminate who can enter. The same applies to following someone on public roads. Public Trumps private when it comes down to a business I think.
Funny how this suddenly becomes “anti-law enforcement” only when it’s directed towards ICE.
These are the same people who would absolutely cheer if a gun store, range, or private property put up a sign that said:
“NO ATF BEYOND THIS POINT”
or
“FEDERAL AGENTS NOT WELCOME”
or even the classic:
“COME AND TAKE IT”
aimed squarely at the ATF or FBI.
In that case it’s “based,” “standing up to tyranny,” and “protecting freedom.”
No one wrings their hands about respecting federal authority then.
So let’s be honest about what’s actually happening here.
When it’s an agency they hate (ATF, FBI, IRS), rejecting federal power is framed as patriotism.
When it’s an agency they like (ICE), suddenly it’s lawlessness and betrayal.
Same federal government.
Same enforcement power.
Same concept of refusing cooperation.
Different emotional reaction.
That’s not principle. That’s selective outrage.
If you believe private citizens and businesses have the right to tell the ATF to pound sand, you don’t get to clutch pearls when someone does the same to ICE — unless your position is driven by vibes instead of logic.
Either federal agencies are allowed to be resisted… or they aren’t.
Well, the difference is that ICE is enforcing immigration law and removing illegal invaders. Many times the ATF especially is "enforcing" rules that aren't technically law against actual Americans. Quite a difference.
ICE should target that building immediately and march right in. Who th' hell is going to stop them?
Wait for the illegals to leave then,
I would prefer to see them dragged out kicking and screaming. Exactly what I voted for.
Me two,but as long as they catch the fuktards,I will be happyl
Why do you keep saying that?
This isn't X. Space isn't at a premium.
Actually, you're not saving ANY space, because the apostrophe uses as many characters as the E.
The only other person I've seen do this is a crazy user with four alts who's been banned from here...
So when the Somalians come into that store and ransack it the owners should not call the cops, either!
I wonder what lurks inside that business...
Im sure ICE knows exactly what slime lurks in the darkest corners of that store, and they will take the illegal
So a sign can override a warrant? Lol mmmkay
Edit: I read it as with or without warrant haha dyslexia over here

It’s a weightless suggestion unless it contains the ordinance etc that backs it.

Correct. If a Somali decides to run in there and were being pursued, ICE would have the right to pursue due to conducting an active imvestigation.

Just surround ut and don't leave.
Doesn't apply to terrorists OR those harboring terrorists...
Sure looks to me like they're hiding terrorists in there...
They are going to need a new door.
And underpanties...
Oh I’m sorry, what sign?
Fedral law doesnt work like this,
Sorry that is a sign…. Not a law. Much like No Weapons….. ignore and go about your business.

They don’t need consent to enter a business. But go ahead and put the sign up anyway. Makes it easier to know where to look.
Looks like probable cause to me
Perhaps the sign itself gives reason to obtain a warrant.
I wonder how this works if they are open to thd public? Maybe a discrimination law suit coming?
Laughs in riot gear and battering ram Y'all gonna need a new door!
