Much as I appreciate silver, and have been stacking for some time, I think this was faked up by someone who just doesn't care about truth in the face of their own biases. (Not our OP, u/FuckNewsom who simply posted without verifying.)
Sadly, too many here simply accept without even bothering to verify, because it plays into THEIR biases.
A part of me wonders if there will be a correction... like they did with platinum a few years back. IIRC it was pushing $2k+ /oz then it got knocked back to like $800.
200 day moving average puts Ag around $40 and Au around $3k.
So... out of all your friends you told to stack at least SOME back when it was sitting at $17 seemingly forever... How many heeded your advice?
Only ONE out of many for me.
He had a bad divorce, sold his house and didn't trust putting it into the bank (because he listens to in-flu-encers like Nino) and wound up sinking it ALL into Ag.... He's thrilled right now!
Six of us out of a hundred stacked, but their was a guy at work who would just bring it in and sell. I had a lot of cash from overtime, and I basically like to spend and keep my money.
I had one friend who bought silver and gold, but he needed the money for a house, and sold at about 27,about dead even for him.
Had over 300ozt around that time, few years later I had an emergency and had to cash out. Used to love running my hands through my pile of junk silver. Hand poured bars and Morgans are my favorite. I'll start building it again soon, kinda funny how throughout my life I've always been able to work one hour and be able to buy 1ozt of silver.
Really? Should I keep buying? How high do you think it’s going and why do you think that? Is there anyone on YouTube who does a good job talking about silver? I bought some Just For Fun a few years ago. I don’t know actually know anything about silver.
I missed out on a great opportunity about 10 years ago when a department store was going out of business and they were selling all their sterling silver jewelry off at a huge discount, such that what they were selling it for was less than the spot silver price at the time. I could have bought the entire batch up and immediately sold it for a really nice profit! But like many things, I just didn't go through with it (I'm great at seeing opportunities :) )
I had 100 dollars of bitcoin in my cart at $3 dollars and something per coin. I decided to wait until I asked about the security of the wallet. Went to 80something the next day and I decided it was too much. Hehe. I DID buy some silver though.
And yet, literally HUNDREDS of frogs on this board will happily swallow it down, never thinking to check or verify, simply because it plays into their biases.
People are mostly talking about shiny in general. I don't care about what Trump tweeted years ago. If it was a recent post I would have checked his account, but I don't have the internet skills to check what he said 8 years ago.
If I saw it in 2020,I might have bought some very cheep shiny..... That would have been a win.
I don't have the internet skills to check what he said 8 years ago
Fair enough.
I've been stacking silver for a while, but there are two separate issues here: Silver + how undervalued it has been, market manipulation, relation to fiat, etc AND fake disinformation being spread and shared.
I don't care about what Trump tweeted years ago
Yeah, I guess some people don't care if stuff is fake or not, like news, for example. Each to his own.
I just found this fake to be really weird. Silver stackers and others who understand the real value of bullion would not be keen to create fake (dis)info, I'd think. Wonder what the rationale was for the person who did it. Personally, I don't think you can advance freedom by spreading lies. You make a fool out of every person who accepts and believes your lie.
Probably some yahoo, who wanted silver to go up. We did have the silver squeeze not long after that.
I don't care, about the Tweet, much cause my silver is bought already and I'm not buying more at this price. And TBH I've been studying silver supply for years, I don't need to Trump to tell me what I know,in this small one case.
And TBH I've been studying silver supply for years, I don't need to Trump to tell me what I know,in this small one case.
Well, yeah, exactly. No one whose paying attention to bullion and fiat etc needs that.
Me tho? I care about people pushing crap. That's all. I didn't need this tweet either. Actually, because of my interest in Ag I wanted to investigate and see if Trump actually said this when I first came across it about 3 or 4 years back.
He didn't.
I'm a bit surprised, I'll confess, that you don't care about this fake disinformation simply because (you think) it doesn't affect you. But each to his own.
Not the reason I bought, but my earliest receipt was in 2017 for 10oz I bought on eBay for $170 something. Wish I added more back then. Instead I waited till the reddit silver squeeze some years later and loaded up at $30 lol. Oh well still nicely in the black now finally
Been stacking for the past 3.5 years. Always wish I have more. First silver purchase i made was back in Jan of 2016 from the us mint which was a 5 Oz quarter of the British Surrender. I bought it then more because I loved we put the British surrender on our quarters. Back then I paid $150 with the crazy US Mint premium and today worth well over that but regardless not selling that for fiat
1-7-17. Interesting.
Two weeks before he took office

WARNING
FYI, I believe this is a fake.
I saw it a few years back posted on someone's twitter timeline, so I decided to investigate.
There is no such tweet found in the Trump Tweet archives (search by date, text, content, etc).

That's how the game works, folks. Stop playing.
Thanks for posting this
Thank Heavens for this DJT post.
Triggered me into action at JM Bullion.
Nice little dip this morning as well.
Spot price 71.89.
Most of today's dip has been bought up.
It used to take weeks or months for this to happen.
Edit. 72.07
Insert and it's gone..... meme
Shanghai price $77+....
Cue the dancing banana...
Looking good Billy Ray.....
Now pushing 80

It's always a concern, but i don't belive they have the metal to do it now.
Comex is at historic low and the LBMA is out of silver.

I started stacking in November that year. 😁📈🩶🥈🦍
I did the same,I don't know what month...
I think it was March 2020 when I started. Still going, although, I've had to pause for the Christmas season,.I'll be back in January.
You have the perfect name for Silver 🩶
Atomic number of silver 47 (trump) Atomic weight of silver 107 (17)
I am sure everything is coincidental
FYI, this is a faked up tweet.
I didn't get a large stack.
But it is a stack of my own.
Even lucked out on the 2020 coin prints too.
Silver has been real money for thousands of years.
👍
Yeah, just that more important things kept coming up. Rebudgeted every few months, couldn't get more.
I do think we will see another squeeze on it back down to 40-ish as DS tries to scare people off it as it is doing to Bitcoin.
I prefer my wealth to be more tangible, though.
They don't have the power for a smash into the 40's. They had big smashes yesterday and today, and they only lasted an hour or so.
"I prefer my wealth to be more tangible, though."
Ditto.
Absolutely...
When something is squeezed it goes parabolic in the up direction.
Just 13 days before being sworn in to his first term.
"The MOASS will be Metal."
Would have been nice to have bought $100,000 worth of silver back then!
Well, it would have been nice for me to have had $100,000 to buy silver back then.
$70.44/oz as of this AM.
Still a bargain!
Yep I'm still buyin'

I was there too. I saw it at $5 and almost bought 50. When it went way up to $80 I didn’t
When I bought mine it was around 26 but because it’s over the counter I paid $34/oz but well worth it since it’s almost double now
This post is fake.
I went thru his archives and never found the original either.
And yet, literally HUNDREDS of frogs on this board will happily swallow it down, never thinking to check or verify, simply because it plays into their biases.
Shameful, GAW. Seriously.
…and Michelle Obama is a woman.
I saved this screenshot sometime around 2020… where it came from before that I don’t know
Exactly. You saved the image, and did not make an actual screenshot of the tweet. Because it doesn't exist.
LongGame is 100% correct. It's fake.
