The Senators do not get to personally decide how to vote for their altruistic purposes. The majority of their constituents have spoken an d this alone needs to be their guide on how to vote. Vote as your constituents want or step down immediately. This is why several things are needed: 1) voters of the state represented need to vote out members of the House and Senate who ignore their constituents, 2) term limits, 3) ban dual citizenship at all levels of government offices, 4) make insider trading and influence in any manner by Big Pharma, Big Business, and lobbyists illegal and grounds for immediate removal, 5) members of Congress must be made subject to their own bills, i.e. have Obamacare as their insurance, 6) require Congress to be subject to a limited number of paid sick/personal leave days and if exceeded, be subject to removal from office and replacement, 7) Congress is subject to completing their job, i.e. balancing the budget, passing funding bills, voting on one subject “clean bills” before they are permitted to recess. There will be no more shutting down of government while Congressional members jaunt to foreign countries or go home, 8) Congressional trips must be approved and funded by their state governments.
Yes, this is great, and when it comes time, I hope we follow through. People will most likely be getting hurt by this and I hope President Trump will be OK with that?

I totally agree with Trumps post. But how you jump from what Trump said to a position of "Don't worry about it, Trump's got it" I believe is misleading and dangerous. Yes, Trump is smart, quick, and a major 5 D chess player and making great headway. But, for all his great accomplishments, just think of how much more he could have accomplished if the support in Congress was the super majority it was supposed to be from our last election. James Carville said himself that the democrats lost the Supreme Court, lost the majority in the house, and lost the Senate majority. They are now the "opposition party" because that is all they have. What does an opposition party do to claw back power? They claw back all the lower level (down ballot elections) seats until they get power again. Because Trump is not on the ballot for midterms, they are banking on low turnout from voters, if they can sell us on kicking back and thinking "I do not need to get fired up for midterms, Trump's got this". I cannot help but believe that will lead to more of the same style cheating. Remember, every major election we have had lately they trot out the fake polls and tell us "Oh, it is nose to nose and it is impossible to tell if candidate A will beat candidate B. That opens the door for cheating on election day and more of the same.
