So, talking with friends over weekend and since yesterday, started thinking something might be off about some things here. Spouse was flying Friday (13th) and had a scheduled layover in Baltimore. She got to where she needed to be Saturday, but flights were cancelled at Baltimore (Baltimore tower was evac), Dulles and Ronald Regan. Allegedly a chemical smell near the Potomac. Yesterday, near where I live we heard the earth-shaking booms from the "asteroid that exploded over NE Ohio".
My buddy tells me he's hearing that was no space rock but something ballistic. Have no proof, but our tin hats are tinging with what's going on all around the world and these "weird" events.
Thoughts? Feedback? Curious to know if others have anything on this.
Seeing tons of ufo videos on Twitter but people saying they are meteors. Lots of meteor activity last week across USA.
Friend in Florida who has had constant flight cancelations too. Strange times.
notice the fake news has been quick to confirm these are 'just meteors' when typically it takes months to confirm anything
The meteors are because we're going through the debris field from 3i Atlas.
Ok, this makes a lot of sense.
Smell from Potomac..
Another sewage release?
Or did Jasmine open her mouth?
You didn’t see the space between “a” and “foot” before you hit save?
busted by grammar cop. (Damnit) I did not. I start typing (pecking) fast and when I use "the" it always comes out teh.
Some are blaming Swalwell.
A line of tornadoes/thunderstorms down the east coast caused some cancellations recently.
Actually, I wondered why they'd close DWI and Dulles because chemical smell at Reagan. Closing one has never meant the other two closed. I figured there was a threat.
And if it hit Reagan there's a lot of homes and large buildings between the airport and the sewage spill, which would smell like what it is, not chemicals.
I am south of DC. I have heard deep rumbling sounds, which did not sound like aircraft. One incident yesterday.
This is what we were talking about. Why did other 2 close, when Baltimore tower said they smelled it and evac. ??
I thought the odor was at Reagan. No matter. There's a lot of mileage separating the 3. Sounds like a threat being dealt with. Nothing else makes sense.
Someone posted on here about this. There is some sort of an ATC that works the airports in the area - the DC/BWI airports and RIC (Richmond). The smell was in that bldg. You can probably search and find it quickly - last day or 2.
Spirit airlines in Ft. Lauderdale, multiple stewardesses were overheard that internal communication amongst employees and the company, especially scheduling, has all but collapsed.
Pilots and crew over the weekend didn't get their aircraft assignments until well after scheduled takeoff, if at all. Many of the delays and cancellations out of FLL from Friday to at least Monday seem to be a direct result.
Don't know why, but speculatively could be part of the bankruptcy Spirit is going through.
Source, i had family stranded at FLL for 3 days over the weekend, Spirit employees apparently aren't taught to use tact when talking to their bosses in the terminals. Also heard they'd been waiting for 10+ hrs. At a time without instructions, and told by the person on the phone that "Its not my problem".
Church lady thinks it's satan....
The town I grew up in, which is 30 minutes from where I live now had which most described as “Banging/slamming” noise 2 weeks ago. It was heard over a large area, enough to generate multiple social media posts with tons of comments. People said they have never heard anything like it.
A friend of mine was flying out of a Florida airport last week and her flight was first delayed and then cancelled. This is an airport on the small side, not any of the major hubs.
Earlier this month or last month it was mentioned that a satellite would be re-entering the earth's atmosphere.. To expect it.. Now thats what I assumed it was..
I live in Volusia County, FL. Tuesday night and yesterday morning before the sun came up I saw multiple objects in the sky moving at high rates of speed that got brighter before suddenly winking out. They weren't meteors because they didn't have entry tails. They didn't explode or burn up, either. The light they emitted before winking out was blue-ish. They were high up in the atmosphere and didn't emit any sound that I could hear.
Reminded me of a sci-fi rendering of a craft either leaving this dimension or using faster than light technology, like what is depicted in the 2004-08 Battlestar Galactica series.
Ive seen something similar to that. Wife and I were out on our newly finished deck (circa summer 2007) and was enjoying the warm night star gazing.
We both caught the flash in the sky off the back west corner of our house and a bright "satellite" emerged from the white flash point. (I say satellite because anyone that has seen satellites move across the night sky, it was similar to that.) The only difference was after this object emerge, its brightness grew and it sped up and off in a NW direction. A few seconds later (we saw this one better as we were already looking in that direction) we both saw another flash of white and another object emerge and suddenly changed direction and... I'll call it... pursued the first object. It sped off after the first.
We're both looking up and I say over to her, "did you see what I just saw? Satellites dont change directions on a dime!" We both agreed that it looked like 2 ships exited "hyperspace" with the second one following or, I got the feeling, chasing after the first.
We will never forget that.
