It is so sad how dumb smart phones have made people. The people on the bus almost had no idea there was a massive explosion outside their window that could have killed them. Their heads are stuck in their phones.
That’s like 7 out of 10 drivers in the left lane. Or any parent at a sportsball event. Kids now doing it. I’m disgusted. I feel like I’m the only person not on a phone in these scenarios. I teach my kids about it. Parents are not parenting!
When my kids were still infants and toddlers, I would look around and see all the nannies, parents and grandparents on their phones wherever we were. I would count the parents/caregivers there, and always 80-90% were on their phones. The kids would look up to see if their adult saw what they did, and the look of disappointment on their faces was so sad!!
I swore I wouldn't do that. I may listen to a podcast sometimes, but my eyes are up. Usually my ears are engaged too.
It's also disappointing to me how much money people pay to vacation somewhere, just to "tune out" by staring at the tiny screen. Society really is becoming zombies.
I am n a doctors office right now. Yes on my phone KeK to post this but a mom is on her phone, 12 year old fat boy on phone 10 year old on iPad and 7 year old on iPad with headphones. These kids are cooked.
Same thing happened in China years ago, remember hearing about the beginnings years ago from serpentza. Slowly have seen it happening over the past few years. You arent alone though, others see it sadly for a time we may be few.
I know the feeling. It’s like a Black Mirror episode. I never get on my phone in public places, waiting areas, events, etc. When you get into this habit you really observe how automaton people really are. Smart watches are the worst. I cringe when I’m talking to someone and they constantly glance at their smartwatch, then in the same beat act like they are giving their full attention. Let’s not get started in earbuds!
Very rarely do you catch the vibe of someone else doing the same thing. When you do, don’t forget to smile at them, they’re one of us.
Agreed. A huge awakening for me as to how unaware people are was about 15 years ago. We were on our honeymoon in Mexico. After a long day of excursions we were riding back to the resort in a passenger van with a guide and about 6 other people. Everyone but me, my spouse and one other man kept our eyes open. I mean come on. How could anyone fall asleep in a situation like that?
And to add to the comment, we make sure we instill situational awareness with our children. We’ve had grown adults make comment they would put my 11 year old in charge if they were ever in a survival situation.
El puente de las Americas. I lived there. It is very very important and I was wondering who did that? It never happened before or any other explosion that i recall, well I have not live there since 2010.

And there was a motorcycle coming head-on in one of the lanes!

Two of the best weapons we have are Discernment and Situational Awareness.
People can't be self-aware when they are not aware at all!

Iran I read somewhere a few years back would aim to take out Panama Canal in the event of being attacked by U.S.
In order to take out canal, the Iranians would target and drain Lake Gatau. Without the water supply to raise the locks, the would be worthless.
Iran started sending a military presence to the canal under Biden.

Remember that we always have on hand a huge water supply: Liberal Tears.
Hey, we don't want to drown !!
Iranian bridge kids are sweating if Iran pulled some shit like this after agreeing to a cease fire.
This is a story to follow for the rest of the week.
Just in...
Panama's homeless problem has become a thing of the past...
