Why is she soooo giddy while signing this legislation? Does she know it take the rights of the people away from them and puts it into the hands of the deep state? These people are evil.
Err ... she was an ex-Clown and a Democrat. That should answer the "why is she so giddy" question.
As for putting the votes into the hands of deep state, thats what she is being paid for I am guessing.

They have planned this for a long time, I think its called the Electoral Compact plan. I guess they are pushing through because they are desperate and one way or another tis going to backfire.
Ultimately a constitutional amendment might be necessary to stop this.
I would think that there could be a constitutional challenge to this which effectively removes our representative system and shifts it to mob collective rule allowing populous states even greater advantage. This is not what our founders had in mind when they designed our system of governance. These idiots don't understand that we do not have a democracy in the true sense - it is a constitutional republic.
I only know about this from what I heard from some podcasters long long ago, but apparently how a state casts electoral votes is not dictated in any solid way. Need to do some research for sure
Yes, but it disenfranchises the voters in other states (or at least diminishes their representation), because the high-population-density states essentially get to double-count their votes. The states have a lot of freedom, but not the freedom to abrogate the rights of other states.
Outsourcing the representation of their own citizens probably also violates the constitutional guarantee of each state having a republican form of government, but the cabal is happy to ignore that and steamroll those arguments to oblivion.
Either way it's a doubleplusungood attack. And unfortunately a huge portion of the public are too dumb to even see it that way.
Yes, each state has some flexibility as to how they determine their electoral votes. But a compact between states is a different matter that defeats the whole basis behind the electoral college and its intent. This is just an alternative route to change to a popular vote which is what they want. Collective mob rule nullifies our vote.
At that time, they made it sound like it was rock solid, but obviously this is just another dumb idea by the desperate Dems. Considering that 17 states joined the compact, we can watch what happens with some popcorn.
Never underestimate the stupidity and nefarious intent of Dems. It is not the number of states that join this compact - it is the overall number of electoral votes those states each control that is key.

17 other states are also a part of this. I don't like it, but it's nothing new.
The compact does not go into effect until the majority of the electoral votes have joined it.

Unfortunately we can never be sure how many Justices will decide to be political activists instead of adherents to the constitution. If they adhere to the constitution, this law should be struck down for a few more reasons.
First and foremost it’s clear the Framers went to great pains to ensure the more populous states did not dominate the other states. If the Framers were okay with the popular vote being the deciding factor they would have never created the Electoral College.
Second, this compact violates the Compact Clause. The states cannot enter into compacts with each other or foreign governments if they usurp Federal sovereignty. Congress has the ultimate authority to regulate Federal elections.
Additionally, this compact essentially rewrites the constitution by eliminating the possibility of a contingent election in Congress.
Well something/someone needs to stop it. These people seem to-no they do-they do anything they want because there are no repercussions for any of their actions. Hang the first 100 of them (that can be, hanged) and watch how quickly this simple mindedness ends.
This should spark the Rs to throw down and say, "Ok, now the SAVE Act is going into play."

It is just another method for the democrats to cheat. They run up the fraudulent votes big time in the blue states and even in the red states where they know they are going to lose. Thereby “winning” the national popular vote and causing all the states in the compact to put forward the democrat slate of electors. Since the compact has virtually all blue states, it doesn’t matter much. But they are giddy to get a purple state like Virginia.
Of course it is all illegal.
Trump will win even harder, just kidding. I trust the wisdom of the Founding Fathers, that they didn't want states to be overpowered by other states.
