I don't think anyone is threatening Europe. The EU are the aggressors against Russia, and their motives are based only on what the cabal wants not on any actual threat from Russia.
Just curious... Anyone have any thoughts about how this might impact American tourists in Europe? I am trying to plan a 35 year anniversary trip to Italy. I welcome all suggestions and insights.
If it were me I'd probably consider vacationing in a more freedom-friendly part of Europe. Minsk is absolutely stunning, like something out of a fairytale.
Western Europe is becoming unrecognizable. I would seriously consider Eastern Europe. They are safer by far. Budapest Hungary on the Danube was breathtaking.
I would think the EU doesn't want to lose the tourist trade. But things could be a little cold for people from the US until the dust settles, especially in the large urban areas or anyplace directly affected.
Having said that, I doubt Italy will be impacted by it as much as places like Germany.
Thanks for the insights. I am Italian but I don't speak it because my grandparents didn't pass on their culture to my parents because eye-talians were not well-liked at the time and so my grandparents Americanized their children quickly. I think someone owes me reparations ; )
I don´t live in Italy but I've been there many times. f you can avoid the big cities, you'll be just fine. Enjoy the people, the culture and above all, the food!

We are not going to remove 100,000 troops. That is as much or more of the total there. We should apply leverage to lock in basing and overflight rights to our liking. Also Greenland and Diego Garcia. The new Army roles should be based on defense and air defense. Most of the rest of the Army can come home.
Are we really going to let Denmark and the EU tell us what to do for our national security when they won't even let us fly over their nations, let alone use our bases in their countries, while we are exterminating a nuclear threat that can reach the very countries denying our flyover rights?

And honestly, Russia may be a better partner than Europe anyways. Imagine the geographic coverage of the world if the US and Russia actually worked together economically and created a positive relationship. With those two countries working together, I don't think the sun would ever set. That's how far ranging the geography is.

Also, missing from the discussion is playing out the scenario that Iran did get nuclear weapons. There would be a nuclear war between Iran and Israel. And Pakistan might throw in a few nukes. There is no MAD with Iran because they want to go out with a blaze of glory to get the 12th Imam.
30% of the oil production comes from the Middle East. And that would be a long term hit. Over $200 oil for a long time. Not $100 oil for a few months.
And we should also look at the global strategic plays taking place against CHYNA right now.
Boot the Chinese out of controlling the Panama Canal. ✅
Remove China and Cuba's cheap, unsanctioned oil from Venezuela. ✅
Cut off 20% of China's oil supply from Iran. ✅
Pre-plan with the Arab Gulf states to align with the US, not the EU or Iran, and set up oil distribution that does not rely on the Straight of Hormuz. ✅
Blockade Iran and destroy its oil system, further eroding China's supply. ✅
Demonstrate the Paper Tiger nature of NATO and call their bluff. Provide sound reasons for leaving NATO. ✅
Set the US up for massive global energy demands and become a top supplier for the world's energy needs. ✅
How about we actually do this and stop giving them money, until they stop the influx of islamists in to their countries and send a bunch of them back home where they came from. If they want help doing that, then we can send troops to help them out maybe
The UK people have been classified as being poorer than people in MS which is our poorest state…US has been “subsidizing” the UK “ free healthcare” system- and cheap Rx drugs while paying a premium for our own healthcare and Rx drugs…we’ll see how all this shakes out without US dollars…UK FAFO
