Lived here for just shy of 60 years. Born on the Galveston Island, near Texas. Beside Texas A&M University, there are a couple of fab shops, some apartments(mostly students), and G&H towing, a Barge towing company, and seawall park. Tourist attraction. Nothing nefarious about this at all. Purely accidental. The bridge was already set to be tore down and replaced in 2025. As for the rail track, hasn't been in service in decades. Most of this small island is inhabited by wild pigs mostly. Some snakes. And a ton of trees used by local birds. As one poster said, this is a nothingburger. Last time I was out there,(FIL worked for G&H) there are no permanent residence there. Besides the pigs and birds. G&H was already planning for the bridge outage by having employees park/work out of Houston. The facility on Pelican Island is a repair facility and will be accessed by tow boats.

Amazingly, I have the PDF downloaded. Wasn't sure of this but looking online, seems it is archived on a .gov website. Still unsure if it is enacted or if it's archived due to being irrelevant. All indications are, it's legit.

Let's trade! We'll take the dogs, cat's too and I perso ally don't like cat's. But, 1 for 1, trade each dog or cat for a pedophile! 5 dogs for for each convicted Hollywood pedophile! 10 dogs for every pedo-politician!

Isn't an Oscar a fish you put in an aquarium that lives on eating scum and feces? Good name for that award

Just be careful and adjust your dog slowly to the fresh foods. Just like a human coming off drugs(sugar, alcohol, etc) they will go through some withdrawals. All three of mine got sick at first. Diarrhea, puking, etc. Now they're adjusted to the fresh food and happier/healthier than ever. My butcher makes it fresh daily, freezes, and sells by the pound. Aint cheap, but it's good. Little Emma (chi-weenie) had bad yeast infections from the canned foods. That has completely cleared up as the natural flora of the gut has returned. My vet also cut some shots out due to never boarding our dogs. And half doses of others.

I know we're supposed to be serious about this but the first thing I thought of, and spit out my coffee as I did, was that's a life size replica of an elitist dildo! Someone please rescue that human!

I live around S.E. Texas and in the Houston TV market. A while back, they reported a tanker truck overturned and it was holding 80 thousand gallons of whatever. I tweeted the reporter and told her that max capacity of a tank truck/trailer was only 7000gallons.she actually PM'd me that she can not correct the teleprompter that she reads from without getting Reprimanded! I agree they should not sit and read knowingly false info. But that told me all I needed to know. The reporters are nothing more than talking heads. That reporter left the Houston market. No telling where she reports now. But she did seem concerned that she could get in trouble for going "off script".

No, not them idiots. We're a better band of idiot! Lmao! It's a farm/ranch insurance company. The lodge members own the insurance company so if we have a claim, we basically pay ourselves. RVOS insurance. Sorry I didn't spell check. Damn phone autocorrects incorrectly

Guess I didn't spell check very well. Lodge. And no, not masonic. I have RVOS insurance. It's farm/ranch insurance. The RVOS lodge members are the owners. So our premiums go to pay ourselves.

No, haven't seen this yet, but at our annual lodge meeting, they did inform us that the rates went up. I got mine paid just before the rise in rates, but next year we'll see the increase.

This matter was settled 150 years ago. No state can secede from the US legally. Doing so is considered an act of war against the US, thus starting the next Civil War. The only time Texas really had this right was from 1845-the end of the Civil War. After readmittance into the US, the right to secede was changed to the right to break up into multiple, smaller states giving the region of Texas more house members, as well as more senators in DC. Texit is a pipe dream that leads to war. Which may not be a bad thing when you think about it. Especially if other states join in the festivities!

Good riddens to this black pope(anti-pope). Should be buried at sea so nobody has to see his dead ass ever again! Maybe off the horn of Africa. Feed his carcus to the flying sharks!

I've noticed a big commercial push for 23&me, playing on the "finding this gene in my DNA saved my life" or "saved mommy's life". Trying to make folks feel responsible for "mom's " death if they don't send in their DNA for testing. Well, my parents are both dead and I don't care what kills me. And I don't have kids to protect.. Not getting my DNA!

So he said "all of us are to blame" on a podcast run by his former staffers. So, he and his staffers are to blame. Sounds like truth. He is mostly responsible for a lot of shit we are enduring now.

Moved off the Island in 1980...only go back for the LS Rally. Otherwise, they could blow up the causeway and sink the ferry. Wouldnt miss it
