When did Trump “void the autopen”? Any source on that? I’ve seen that claim multiple times and never anything to back it up. He has said anything signed with the autopen should be null and void but I don’t think any actual action has taken place to nullify them.

Why would he want Johnson or Thune when we all know they won’t produce? How could that be beneficial? The fact that he doesn’t seem to be making that big of a stink over their inaction (beyond some tweets) makes me think he isn’t that concerned and probably expected this outcome. Your answer gives a plausible explanation.

Trump has said something about July 4, 2026 - the 250th birthday of the nation - multiple times. I forget exact words but it implied things would be turned around by then. Trump loves the fanfare and I don’t think he would want the country to be in this state for that monumental date. I am expecting to see significant movement between then and now. What an appropriate time to celebrate it could be.
