They sure are revealing their true selves in these votes, which is why the Republicans are holding them. They need to constantly remind people of these votes. There is absolutely no benign reason for a Democrat to actively oppose this resolution.

They did not look ready to fight back but yet resisted. Their opponent was standing over them with rifle in hand. Their position was taken. Why play tug-o-war the gun? They didn't quite seem to know what was going on.

I think it was impressed upon McCarthy that this is this is the kind of leadership people want and that if he wants to be known as a great leader with all the trappings thereof, then this is what he must do. Or maybe they truly did wake him up. The polling showing favorably to the MAGA holdouts could not have been lost on him.

Hiding the nuke codes from the president is enough right there. The only one with the authority over the nuke codes is thr president.

I actually wouldn't mind if it was just an act of vengeance. The way they treated the Republicans, kicking them off committees simply because they didn't like what they tweeted once. They deserve vengeance.

I'm filing this under: Biden and company just suck at basic governing. An all ground stop had to be issued because of a computer glitch? When has that ever happened before? I know some here are going to theorize some major action, and that may be, but I would say it's just as likely that thr people running things are a bunch of virtue signal diversity hires that don't really know what they are doing and they crashed the NOTAM system out of carelessness or neglect.

It's easier if all those other entities are taking care of our needs. Then we don't have to to any work to solve life's challenges if the government, the media, and the "experts" are doing it for us.

The minority party always puts forth a Speaker candidate. It's just he/she never wins because they don't actually ever cross party lines, so the minority party candidate never gets to 218.

I wonder if they could get Manchin, Sinema, And McConnell behind it? Get those three that normally caucus with Democrats to go along and it night pass.

Mcmurdo32 8 points ago +8 / -0

Not really. There is value in forcing the Democrats to say no to a popular bill. Let the Democrats say on record for all to see that they WANT the 87,000 IRS agents. Or do you suggest that the Republicans only pass bills the Democrats like? That's what the RINO's do. Until we get the Senate and the Presidency, our stuff won't become law.

The author suggests moving to impeach Joe Biden at the conclusion of the investigation, because we all know what they will find. Obviously, the Democrats won't convict him in the Senate, but I support the idea. Make the Democrats defend Biden's actions after impeaching Trump on far less.

The reason public health officials are not attributing them to covid infections is because they can't. I'm sure they would love to be able to do that. So we know the can't.

I'm not like some here. Jew this and Jew that. However, we see in the Old Testament that they were performing sexual acts and had a sex trade in honor of the local false dieties in the Temple and all over. It is why God literally moved out of the Temple in Ezekiel and exiled the Jews to Babylonia. So they do have a history of setting up sex based industries.

I'm satisfied. I don't think the goal of the holdouts was ever to take the throne. There just wasn't enough support for anyone else. I think the goal was to issue the Magna Carta. MAGA gained quite a bit of power.

The goal was not to take the throne. It was to issue the Magna Carta.

If the holdouts stick together after he's speaker, in addition to using the vacate the chair rule to hold him accountable, they could use it to simply halt Congress if they become too nutty. I have enjoyed them actually being there, actually talking about the important things, and not passing giant bills in the dead of night during this speaker fight.

Good. I had hoped they didn't give McCarthy their votes for free. We weren't going to get the throne, just increase our power and influence over it. We will continue the battle.

Anyone remember an incident just after Trump was elected where, I think it was Ivanka Trump and family flew a scheduled airline flight in COACH? We know because some nutcase suffered an early outbreak of TDS and had a hissy fit when he saw them.

It makes it harder for America First when we only have half a Party. The leftists have 90 percent of the Democrats.

That's true. I hope the do take that fighting spirit to the Biden Regime and other Swamp rats.

I like her, but she is wrong here and deserves it. McCarthy may eventually win, but this fight is good and is firing up the America First movement. It will increase MAGA's power among the DC Republicans

They could at least vote on it. I can't see him getting 218. Too many Never Trump RINO's. Then if he loses, the msm will run with the narrative.

This is not a bad thing. They don't realize over there that most people who care actually WANT government shutdowns.
