Metrics is way easier for math and science, but the English system does make some sense for everyday use because it formed from everyday experiences. A foot is about the size of a foot so you can quickly approximate size by lining up your feet. A yard is roughly one pace so you can approximate larger distances simply by walking it. Inches really are ideal for measuring construction materials and snowfall, as the smaller metric units of cm and mm are really too accurate for these and the next SI unit up, the dm is too large. The Farenheit temperature scale doesn't make much sense until you realize that he lived in a fishing village on a bay and was more concerned with when the saltwater of the bay would freeze, so based zero on that, and the degree size is more ideal for measuring changes in temperature. The Celsius degrees are too large IMO. No, you don't really want to do things to scientific accuracy using English units, but when we need to do complex calculations, we have SI. So perfect situation.

That's for sure. The Deep State in Ukraine and whoever supports it must be defeated. If it takes the Russians to do it. So be it.

I drive Route 20 across Iowa when I go to South Dakota to restore my sanity, and it is corn fields literally as far as the eye can see.

Well, we'll see what comes out. I do believe as most do here that this is a real nationalist vs globalist deep state war here, and there is A LOT of fake news coming out of there. So it's hard to accurately assess thr situation. I just wonder if the Ukrainian people would fight so hard to defend bioweapons labs, etc. Wouldn't they want someone to go in there and clean that stuff out?

The comments here. I think we all agree with everything she said. What the hell do you people want? Oh you've found something you disagree with? Do you expect to agree 100 percent with anybody? We literally have maybe half a party on our side, and one of the few people who don't cower to the left and their media cohorts, you all beat down because, why?

We don't know the age of the commenter, but don't forget that Gen X and older grew up during the Cold War. The Russians were our opponents. They perpetuated the very communism that we are battling today. Yes, the Cold War is over and the Russians have re-embraced Christianity and have at least some democracy, but it's hard to trust them now.

"Racist" didn't work. "Terrorist" didn't work. Now they are reaching for the next catch term to try to pin on them. Also, they know it isn't over. Those trucks are out there. Waiting.

They're not kidding about that corn in Iowa. That's not just marketing. They really do have a lot of corn.

I did not get the impression that is what she meant. Remember that to them, the world of democracy is still relatively new. The globalists and their leftist stooges don't want Russia in Ukraine because the globalists have been doing all sorts of nefarious things in Ukraine. They know the Russians are avid nationalists and fear that the Russians will uncover their chicanery and expose it. The Ukrainians are not fighting for the Deep State in my opinion.

How can anything be proven when it a video can be faked that Well? Those you are trying to convince will just say it's faked, and unless you were actually there, you don't even know it it's real. Question everything, sure, but we cannot do everything ourselves. Sometimes we must trust others.

I never saw that movie, but I know the story line and if thus isn't a "wag the dog" situation then i certainly don't know what is.

I grew up during the Cold War and I know what is possible from the Russians. So I have trouble totally getting into Putin's camp. I understand the Russian's side in this. I also understand Ukraine's side, and I hope people don't just decide to blame the US for all their problems because they found bioweapons labs funded by the American Deep State. It is the Globalists who are all our enemies. We all need to get together and fight THEM. I think Russia and Ukraine can work something out. Russia doesn't want NATO nearby. Ukraine doesn't want to be controlled by Russia. There are some ethnic issues there, but I think it would be possible for them to agree to something.

The takeaway here is that Trump is not done. That has them quaking in their jackboots. I don't see how we survive until 2024 though. Biden and co. Are at best totally and completely incompetent, but more likely are actively sabotaging our country. The Republicans would need to take both House and Senate, impeach Biden, Impeach Kamala, needing 60 votes in the Senate for both. They'd need to unite all the RINO's and get some Democrats unless they could win that many seats in 22. Then they would need to maneuver the PR challenge of looking like to normals of staging a coup. A huge uphill battle.

Ukrainians have a right to their country. They don't want to be controlled by Russia. Russia has a right to exist in the world without every Western power ganging up on them. We need to recognize and understand the positions of both. Yes the Globalists have embedded themselves within Ukraine, using it as a hub. They must be rooted out and defeated. Ukraine had a very corrupt government that allowed for the corruption that enabled the Globalists. Should the Ukrainian people now have their country taken away from them because of it? Should we as Americans lose our country because the Globalists infiltrated us and used us to build bioweapons labs all over the world,, including in Ukraine? The Globalists see NATO as central control they can take over and use as their military wing. Russia is obviously nationalist which is why the Globalists sought to use Ukraine to move against them. Russia is rightfully nervous about this. RUssia needs to root out the Globalists, their true enemy as the globalists are our true enemy also. Then the need to talk to Ukraine about NATO and the ethnic Russians within their borders, and they must be prepared to make tradeoffs with Ukraine for those things. This is not Ukraine = bad, Russia =good.

Remember the war is the freedom loving people of Earth vs the Deep State Globalists, not Russia v Ukraine. It is possible that we are dealing with an ethnic struggle AND the Deep State is using Ukraine as a hub. It is possible that Russia is in opposition to the Globalists AND aggressors against its neighbors. Ukrainians have a right to their country and Elon recognizes that right. Russia has an interest in not having the whole Western world gang up on them, especially right at their doorstep. We need to recognize both of these things. I think Trump did this do well and that is why this war did not occur under his watch.

I wonder what the take it in the German press? Aren't they thr primary customers of oil from Russia?

Mcmurdo32 1 point ago +1 / -0

Didn't they come from that region? If so, similar seals might no be surprising. I don't think the Ukrainian people are Cabal Deep Staters themselves however.

They would like to slow the spread of Russians I'm sure.

That was not always fun. No leaders then were actually stupid enough to fire nukes at someone who could fire them back at you. However, one failure of the system and nukes could be flying all over the place. Who knows how many times we were seconds away from nuclear war and no one ever knew?

I remember shortly after we became energy independent for the first time in God knows how long, Iran tried to stir up trouble. We didn't have to play because we didn't need the oil going through that strait. It was truly a good feeling knowing we did not have to go to war.
