Very well written. My husband served 23 years. He ended up disabled losing his legs. He retired when Biden was sworn in. But the one thing he always said, was the military was night and day from when he enlisted. He was a brigadier general, and was privy to lots of info. Even basic training is considered “easy” now. And the urban training going on since the 90s scared the hell out of him for what might be coming. I’ve been asked to walk in his place for the parade to honor his fallen soul. It’s my first Memorial Day without him. It’s going to be hard. But God has me covered.
It’s amazing how quickly everything went so bad. I think as a country, we (patriots) are strong and can endure a lot. I’m more concerned of another stolen election. Criminals are walking free daily, our Justice system is a complete mess.
