Whether you like him or not, he makes some legitimate points. It’s hard to determine who is friend or foe. Everyone should be assessed critically. That being said, he does have a self righteous arrogance about him.

SCOTUS did not order Texas to “stand down “. They exclusively stated that the Biden administration could “cut the barbed wire “. There is nothing in the order preventing Texas from replacing the wire to protect their border and sovereignty. States have a Constitutional right to prevent “invasion “. A declaration of invasion was declared in Texas.

Actually Governors have control over National Guard with the exception of DC which is solely under federal control. They would have to be “federalized “ to be under federal control and that can only happen in limited circumstances.
