Yes I am not sure anything has more "K" at the point of need than gasoline/diesel/oil. And distribution is not super-fun, but we know how to do it at this point. And storage is fairly straightforward, up to a point.

Which is why gasoline/diesel/oil are still doing well.

EDIT: My comment was not well worded. What I meant was that the K you get from these fuels vs. the price you pay + the cost/complexity of the distribution/storage you need to employ to get it ... is still the best or nearly the best math. NG would be better, if we had more filling stations for it, more vehicles that could accept it, etc.

Fair point. I was focused on production in writing. Transmission and storage remain big issues. However those issues apply even more to wind and often to solar, I hope you will agree.

When do we get our Mr. Fusions?

Btw, how about growing citrus in Nebraska? With no HVAC?

Yup.

Simplifying, that is a semi-underground greenhouse (the Native American word for it is "Wallipini") which faces the sun, uses thermal mass, etc., and duct work underground below the frost line, with a push fan and a pull fan. Like the push and pull fans on a tower PC.

Not to make it sound like I am diminishing this man's work. Quite the contrary, I am super impressed with him and what he has achieved here.

You can effect a form of geothermal. I wouldn't say it's easy to do, but it's fairly understandable how to do it.

It ain't gonna cover your electric bill, but it can cover all or most of your heating/cooling bill.

Also, if you are digging a well, you can drop a loop down there.

Once you go below the frost line, the earth is around 68F year round.

I saw this little gem the other day and enjoyed how low tech it was. This is in AZ (Tucson, I believe) so this would not work where one has a real Winter. But actually I'll wager that it could work in a place with a real Winter with some changes (deeper hole for the container, insulated pipe, etc.).

Would love to make one of those for a shed as an experiment.

We need to revisit nuclear power in a big way.

Gen IV Reactors, and perhaps especially Thorium reactors.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generation_IV_reactor

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pebble-bed_reactor

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thorium-based_nuclear_power

The power requirements of our future are staggering. We will not keep up with the old ways.

With that said, I am pro-coal, pro-oil, pro-NG, etc. In fact I wish we would stop fucking around with solar and wind and get serious about NG and Geothermal.

"EEBITDA" is the new benchmark.

This is supposed to be a #Joy campaign, right? So let's #Joy it up with some nostalgia. Just rename your program to ACORN, for that retro cool vibe.

That is what we are seeing. This reminds me of "Kremlinology".

We are watching at least two forces executing 5G warfare. And perhaps I am hopped up on copium, but it seems to me that one side has a strategy the other one has not yet seen/understood and is executing on all cylinders, and the other one is still flogging its old playbook. But the deltas here I think are:

  • Intentionally Crash the Economy
  • Start WWIII.
  • Set off an event in the US that causes massive destabilization.

All of those are within the DS's powers, and all of those are very scary.

Very much agreed.

I think RFK Jr and others (Elon, etc.) make for a story that really does mean #Unity and #SaveAmerica. At a minimum it can draw votes away from the Ds.

In the spirit of reconciliation and unity, I would even be open to giving Tulsi a speaking slot in these rallies.

I am veeerrrry suspicious of her. Possible chameleon, WEFfer, anti-RTKBA, etc.

But she is a Kamala assassin. And is anti-Forever Wars, The Democrat Party and the Permanent State, and pro-Veterans.

Our watch word should always be discernment. We shall know them by their fruit, and so we should watch her actions, but not shut her out, as long as we compartmentalize.

I watched most of the Theo Von interview. I had seen Theo on other shows before, but had never seen his show.

I thought his approach to the interview took courage. Maybe he just did what he knows and he even said that they talk a lot about addiction on his show. But he resisted the urge which I am sure was probably very strong to try to make it a CNN interview. Instead it was personal. And it got quite personal, in terms of getting Trump to talk about his brother.

I ended up respecting Theo and I will watch him again. He also made me laugh hysterically once or twice. Especially "You become your own street light" was amazing. And "You end up go-karting with hookers", said to a President, was priceless.

I also ended up thinking that in a way this interview brought both sides together in a way I had not seen before. And here I don't mean "Right and Left". I mean "Under 30" and "Over 30".

Well done.

When RFK Jr was speaking, this quote came to my mind.

And then this one, from his uncle.

“A man does what he must — in spite of personal consequences, in spite of obstacles and dangers, and pressures — and that is the basis of all human morality.” - John F. Kennedy

And then this one.

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

"Van" Jones is a fucking evil Communist and no one should ever expect anything from him but chaos and destruction.

That was when the DS sent its faithful servant, Boris Fucking Johnson. Walked in, tore up the negotiated peace deal, walked out.

What a cunt.

Joe coming after this dumbass is not a big surprise. Nevertheless it's good that he did it, and did it well.

Becky actually coming after him on this is a borderline shock. She's Globohomo all the way.

There have been moments where folks thought he was too full of himself, etc.

I never paid that no nevermind. I take everyone as they come and if they have something of value to say, they can sit at my fire for a spell.

We need to be vigilant for intruders and saboteurs. But somehow we also need to remain open. It's not easy.
