Typically during war, large bodies of refugees get moved from place to place. Very easy for the UN security forces to make entire towns disappear and seperate the kids from their parents.

I'm always skeptical when comments get a lot of heat. Usually when I see the source article link to the actual speech I can listen/watch for myself.

He actually clarifies "miracles of science" in the very next comment. We can't just take his one sentence and spin it. That is exactly where the "fine people on both sides" Trump mis-quote comes from.
Elon specifically points out he was using it to refer to miracles of science. We all know Jesus is known for miracles, so to use that as a reference, I don't see that as a negative here.
His comment infers he believes Jesus performed miracles and the clarification that the tech is a miracle of science. There's a differentiation there I think is important.
The entire speech is very eye opening as a whole where AI safety comes up. Personal robots, self driving cars, and the host brings up terminator. Notice here Elon basically says he hopes not. but admits well we hope not.
I'd be more concerned with that comment versus references to Jesus. Perhaps the goal here is to focus on the Jesus comment in the speech and not the dangers of AI that are being baked into the foundation of the sciences.
If the tech lets us see, someone can hack it and alter what we see (like Ghost in the shell)
If a tech lets us walk, then can police deactivate it to stop a suspect from fleeing?
With self driving cars, surely there will be a police override or some kind of kill switch to disable or take over the vehicle remotely.
Even better is that IF THEY VOTE, through the retention laws of voter records, they can get the voter rolls for people who voted.
Voting as an illegal = fraud = fast track to deportation.
It's checkmate either way for Democrats.
I have 2 guesses:
He's clean(ish) and just a royal level douche bag who genuinely hates America. Nothing they have would remove him from office per se, they can still vote from jail.
