If you don't know how to use it it won't do you any good. Ham radios ain't CB radios. Study all you want but if you don't operate, you don't know. If you want to learn to operate you gotta get a license or NOBODY will talk to you. Locals might even hunt you down if you create too much QRM.
It's not fake. A Tennessee State Trooper was shot on I-40 in Cookeville and the TBI issued a Blue Alert. The problem I had with it was difficult to open and initially was only identified as a "public safety alert" not the usual Amber Alert. That got my attention because I had never seen one of these before. Maybe I'm following current events too closely but in the 8 minutes it took to open the two alerts my adrenaline level was high enough I doubt I get back to sleep before time to get up.

Yeah, the fact that Trump was hit by a bullet that would have gone straight through his head had he not turned at the exact moment he did kind of makes the whole argument moot.
Meanwhile, in Chicago;
When fools consider themselves above the law the label is appropriate.
When the time comes that elections are illegitimate and the law is beyond tolerance, in other words when actual tyranny is ruling, take up arms. Don't go to traffic court claiming the law does not apply to you because you are reciting magic incantations about commercial law.
So let it be written, so let it be done.
