Yes, and be careful if you drink any herbal teas. A lot of herbal teas add black licorice for flavoring. One of my favorites is Throat Coat when I'm sick or my voice is shot, but it's heavy on licorice so I have to be careful not to have too much.
I lived in NM for many years. It's one of the most beautiful states in the country. It almost feels like a different country altogether, a cross between Old Mexico and the American West and an alien landscape. It's surreal at times. And the food is the best you can find. I loved living there...until I didn't.
The state attracts the scum of the earth and its politicians are some of the worst on the planet. There's a reason Epstein put his ranch right next to Santa Fe where this bitch sits on her throne. When Covid happened and she took every opportunity to put the squeeze on her peasants, that's when I decided to leave for good. NM had some of the tightest Covid restrictions in the country, but no one heard much about it because no one cares about NM. I'm glad for NM's people that this little wannabe tyrant has shown the world what's really happening there and who she really is. After participating in MANY Trump rallies and Trump trains in Albuquerque and Santa Fe before the 2020 election, I can promise you that NM did not vote blue. Michelle Grisham needs to be thrown out on her ass, put in prison, and the votes need to be recounted.
I'm a teacher and haven't heard a single word about any school in our area or in the state even discussing closure. We had to sit through a school nurse's presentation a few weeks ago, and she specifically said that masks are not required this year and that we don't have to follow any particular Covid protocol anymore. She's the only one that will have to keep track of students who test positive. Only a few people at work are wearing masks right now, but the majority are not, and no one's even talking about it. And we've had extreme heat here AND a broken AC system, and we haven't closed for that either.
Personally, I'm not buying these stories about mass closures around the country. Maybe certain ultra-blue areas are doing it, but even that seems rare. Unless they roll out a new virus to force the closures, then I guess that could happen, but it would defeat the purpose of what this guy is saying. I'm not saying I don't believe that the Biden regime isn't planning something along these lines, of course. He can force whatever he wants or whatever his handlers want.
TikTok is a hotbed of misinformation and retardation. A bunch of people who think they know something, try to sound authoritative, and have no idea what's going on in reality.
But I can't lie. I feel something weird in the air right now. People have been snapping at my job lately and things just feel off and ominous. And I live near the coast, so I can't say I'm not nervous about all these scenarios.
I teach high school. Every single day, winter or summer, there are girls walking around with their butts hanging out, crop tops up to their chests, and cleavage everywhere. I just don't understand. When I was a kid, my dad inspected my outfits. And I'm not saying we need those extremes, but why don't parents have higher expectations for their daughters? (And sons?)
Part of the problem is that teachers are afraid of parents AND students today, and half the moms I see are no better than these girls. The world has trained girls to be sluts and for boys to be low class. Agenda almost complete.
Hasn't it always been a national disaster? Or maybe a national disgrace. I feel no pity for these people. They could nuke it for all I care.
But yeah, this is strange. Are they trying to get to someone who's in attendance?
Wasn't UNC also involved in Covid research? Seems to be an interesting connection.
They also developed Remdesivir: https://sph.unc.edu/sph-news/remdesivir-developed-at-unc-chapel-hill-proves-effective-against-covid-19-in-niaid-human-clinical-trials/
I'm a teacher and tomorrow is our first day of school. The school nurse gave a presentation the other day in which she said Covid is "pretty much gone" and masks won't be mandated. I felt a wave of relief, and I just pray that nothing changes once the fear-mongering in full begins this fall. Enough nagging liberal parents will force the district to change its policy.
We have a retiree subbing for a vacant position, and she came in the other day saying she was getting over Covid despite having had five vaccines in total. FIVE. I just shook my head and said nothing.
Yeah, I imagine the Chicago area is in it deep. It was the same in the heavily blue state where I used to live. Here it's more reddish-purple.
The media is to blame for almost all of this. My ultra-liberal NYC friend watches MSNBC every day and believes every word. It feels almost hopeless for this group of people. I guess all we can do is spread the truth and be good examples whenever possible.
I'll be teaching a class. I'm looking forward to seeing every single clueless student (and my assistant) losing their minds when the phones all go off together. I think a lot of people still have no idea this is even scheduled or what it means. Personally, I'm not expecting anything to come of it because these types of hyped-up events never seem to turn out like people say. But we shall see.
