Ephesian 6:13-24
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
That makes two of us, Showmeyourpede. It is indeed nice when people seek out God.
To all:
Christianity is objectively correct so far as can be rationally known, and to the extent that other religions/philosophies contradict it, to that extent they are incorrect. The totality of all science has been a mostly-unwitting exercise in proving Christianity correct. The people who developed the various fields of modern science for the most part weren't consciously attempting to prove Christianity true, yet they nonetheless ended up doing so. To wit:
God's existence is a mathematical theorem within standard physics. Standard physics is the known laws of physics, viz., the Second Law of Thermodynamics, General Relativity, and Quantum Mechanics. This theorem has been given in the form of physicist and mathematician Prof. Frank J. Tipler's Omega Point cosmology. These aforestated known physical laws have been confirmed by every experiment conducted to date. Hence, the only way to avoid Tipler's Omega Point Theorem is to reject empirical science. As Prof. Stephen Hawking wrote, "one cannot really argue with a mathematical theorem." (From p. 67 of Stephen Hawking, The Illustrated A Brief History of Time [New York, NY: Bantam Books, 1996; 1st ed., 1988].)
Prof. Tipler's Omega Point cosmology has been extensively peer-reviewed and published in a number of the world's leading physics and science journals, such as Reports on Progress in Physics (the leading journal of the Institute of Physics, Britain's main professional organization for physicists), Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society (one of the world's leading astrophysics journals), the International Journal of Theoretical Physics (a journal that Nobel Prize in Physics winner Richard Feynman also published in), and Physics Letters, among other journals.
Prof. Tipler's Ph.D. is in the field of Global General Relativity, which is the field created by Profs. Stephen Hawking and Roger Penrose during the formulation of their Singularity Theorems in the 1960s. Global General Relativity is General Relativity applied on the scale of the entire universe as a whole, and is the most elite and rarefied field of physics. Tipler is also an expert in quantum field theory (i.e., Quantum Mechanics combined with special-relativistic particle physics) and computer theory.
For much more on Prof. Tipler's Omega Point cosmology and the details on how it uniquely conforms to, and precisely matches, the cosmology described in the New Testament, see my following article, which also addresses the societal implications of the Omega Point cosmology:
Additionally, in the below resource are different sections which contain some helpful notes and commentary by me pertaining to multimedia wherein Prof. Tipler explains the Omega Point cosmology and the Feynman-DeWitt-Weinberg quantum gravity/Standard Model Theory of Everything (TOE).
Also, to here point out, Profs. Hawking and Penrose's aforementioned Singularity Theorems are themselves completely valid proofs of God's existence in the First Cause aspect of Him.
Further, due to Liouville's Theorem in complex analysis, it doesn't matter what form of physics one resorts to, as any physically-realistic cosmology (e.g., one capable of incorporating Quantum Mechanics, since the complex number field is intrinsic to the mathematical formulations of Quantum Mechanics) must begin at an initial singularity and end at a final singularity. (As Barrow and Tipler wrote, "Initial and final cosmological curvature singularities are required to avoid a universal action singularity." See John D. Barrow and Frank J. Tipler, "Action principles in nature", Nature, Vol. 331, No. 6151 [Jan. 7, 1988], pp. 31-34; see also Frank J. Tipler, "The Structure of the Classical Cosmological Singularity", in Origin and Early History of the Universe: Proceedings of the 26th Liège International Astrophyscial Colloquium, July 1-4, 1986 [Cointe-Ougree, Belgium: Universite de Liege, Institut d'Astrophysique, 1987], pp. 339-359; "Discussion", pp. 360-361.)

The below is an excellent lecture by neuroscientist Dr. Sam Harris, one of the main leaders of the New Atheist movement, at a June 2016 TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) conference.
As Dr. Harris points out, unless there is something literally magic about the operations of the brain, then it is a purely physical process that can be replicated via advanced-enough technology. Harris further points out that given any rate of progress, it is inevitable that superintelligent godlike machines will one day be constructed. So Harris believes in the existence of gods, it's just that he knows--as do I--that they exist in the future; and the not-so-distant future, at that. Therefore we come to the ironic insight that materialistic atheism, consistently applied, unavoidably results in theism. Consistent scientific atheism turns out to be theism.
I pray now. I pray almost everyday for other people to find His way. I ask for forgiveness. I tell Him I only bow only to Him and no man. I thank God for my father and mother. I’m deeply grateful and thankful.
I read a twitter reply some weeks ago which said - "After 40 years of being an atheist I have concluded that Christ is the only way, thank you Q". This Great Awakening is indeed Biblical :)
There is! I have chills hearing everyone's stories in this thread! I feel like God is pouring His spirit out over the world. I feel overwhelmed.
Just remember, Jesus promises:
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. -Matthew 7:7-8
Jesus has promised that anyone who is seeking the truth will find the answers.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Light. No one gets to the Father except through Him!
Sorry, I'm just so happy and excited when I hear anyone is starting this journey. It's so beautiful to me. If you ever want to chat, feel free to message me. I've been a Christian for 25 years and my husband has been a Christian for 35 years and went to Bible college, so he has extensive knowledge about scripture. Any time I don't know something, I ask him and I am always amazed by how much he knows lol
Anyways, I'd love to chat with you or pray for you. Anything really. <3
I've found God recently just like OP. I've been fully immersed in the secular world my whole life and therefore had an inaccurate understanding of Christianity. I have a lot to learn. I've been reading the Bible and listening to online sermons to expand my knowledge.
In a world where so much that's been going on in this world is bonkers, Christianity makes a lot of sense to me. Like how there is a standard to truth, definitions are set, the line between man and woman is well defined.
Plus, seeing all the evil Satanic things that's been right in front of our faces, such as TV shows, music, movies and pizza ate have shown me that true evil exists in this world. And if there's such evil, there must be a God.
This is amazing!!!! I have never had the opportunity to share The Gospel so much in my entire life as I have over the last few weeks. I believe we are at the start of a great revival in this nation!
While I've been a Christian for 25 years, I feel like the Lord has used all of this to wake me up from my apathy. I've never prayed so much or read my Bible more in my entire life.
I am just so excited for you. Hearing this just touches my heart. Remember, God never promises us an easy life.... He actually promises that people will hate us because they hate Jesus. But, He promises to walk with us through the struggles and will help our faith to grow stronger through those hard times. I've been through some low valleys in my life, but I'm so grateful for my relationship with Jesus. He has always carried me through <3
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. -John 3:16
Jesus is the Son of God. He came to Earth and was fully God and fully man. He lived a perfect life and died on the cross to pay the punishment for the sins of mankind.
You see, sin separates us from God, so He sent Jesus to pay for our sins. Jesus became a bridge between us and God. It is a free gift. We cannot work our way to heaven. There is nothing we can do on our own to save ourselves. We need a Savior. All you have to do to be saved is to accept that you are a sinner (we all are) and accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. And your life will never be the same. We were dead in our sin, but in Christ we are alive. And it's only through Christ that we can experience true freedom.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Him.
If you are even remotely curious or questioning any of this:
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. -Matthew 7:7-8
This is a promise Jesus has given to all of us. Anyone that is seeking the truth about Him and God will find it. All you have to do is pray and ask God to reveal the truth to you. I'll be praying for you my friend! Please don't hesitate to message me if you ever want to talk or pray or if you have any questions <3
The Gospel is contained in the New Testament. It is the books of the four Evangelists: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. It tells the story of the Incarnation of God’s only Son - Jesus the Christ. The other books of the New Testament are written by the Apostles of Christ, and fill out our understanding of what Christians need to know about how to conduct themselves and how Christianity spread to the world.
Paul did not write a Gospel, but experienced a conversion and then became an apostle, spreading the Gospel and writing encouraging letters to Christian communities, to help them be better Christians by outlining the theology of the Church.
1 Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, (1 Corinthians 15.1-4)
Do you see the difference in Paul’s gospel? Where is repentance? Where is baptism? They are not there. Salvation according to the gospel of the kingdom was to repent and be baptized, believing Jesus was the Messiah, the Son of God (Matthew 16.16-17; John 11.25-27; Acts 2.38). Salvation according to the gospel of the grace of God (Acts 20.24), Paul’s gospel, is to believe Christ died for us, was buried, and arose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15.1-4). According to Paul’s gospel, only one thing is necessary: trust in the death, burial, and resurrection for your sins. Do you believe it? If so, you are saved from sin and death. This is God’s promise.
I should have been more clear, I know what the gospel is, I just like to ask to see what people’s response is.
There’s something big most people are missing in the their Bible’s because the majority of Churches don’t teach it. It’s so simple and right in front of you but it does take a dose of humility and willingness to learn something new.
Ask yourself this, how did the 12, Jesus or John the Baptist preach the gospel of redemption of sins by the death of Christ when he was still alive?
you're only a terror to evil my friend are battle does not lie against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers and Heavenly places that is a real enemy a Divine enemy but we have The Divine King to lead us
You now have a guardian angel that is always with you...... You will see things differently..... trust me I know. Christ has been with me since I was 8. I am now 64.
I’m also determined to study the Bible! I’ve never felt so close to God!! Something good came out of all this chaos for me. ???? Now they’re trying to rewrite the Bible ????
As we draw closer to the end... the Christian walk will become harder & harder. We will be outlawed, treated as lepers. BUT WE MUST HOLDFAST. Keep the courage & the faith high!!!! Choosing a life filled with Jesus will be the bet choice you ever make <3.
With so many lies,, for hundreds maybe thousands of years....and only RIGHT NOW we as Gods People can see again! What does religion mean! Religion divides.. I am starting to realize that their are only two religions available...one of the creator and one of the destroyer Good vs evil! My God Creates, Heals, brings Peace and Joy and Love! It doesn’t seem important to me how it is divided and named! I do love and trust and try to obey my God! He says that He is the beginning and the End! The Alpha and Omega! I can tell you this one thing from my personal experience, he is also my Friend and teacher. I do love Him and Worship Him, and I do not much worry about exactly what I or we call Him! He because he said I Am!
Enjoy the enlightenment! I read the Bible and use an app with Bible sleep stories to stay focused on what is important. Am so much calmer. You can pray any way and anywhere you want - God is always listening.
Me too but about 2 years ago. I ordered my first bible and started reading it. This last year has really made clear the evil attacking good. They only know how to destroy not build.
Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. -1 Peter 5:8
This verse has never spoke to me as much as it does right now.
I've been a Christian for 25 years, but only in the last few months have I truly come to understand evil. I realize I have been very naïve. Seeing all of this filth exposed has made me run to Jesus as fast as I can. I want no part of this evil. I am on alert, now. My eyes are wide open, and I am truly in the fight now. My apathy is gone.
Just know that you will be a target of spiritual warfare from now on. Read Ephesians chapter six to protect yourself and do not despair. You are now a warrior in the only fight that matters. Good against evil, both personally, as a battle for your soul, and globally in the fight against totalitarian Satanists!
Hahahahahaha. I lol'd. Mark 16:16 is about as chill as chill can be. I welcome you to the final day. The "fullness of [we] gentiles" must come in, then on to glory. Our Lord is the bomb.
b) well, yeah, it does actually feel slightly skeezy
Small potatoes, next to the joy I feel about the OP finding Jesus Christ... but since I wasn't really around Pepetown during the Great Meme Wars of... a While Ago, I thought I'd use this opportunity to inquire. Watermarking memes, yay or nay or eh?
The only people who watermark memes are people who care more about getting credit than about spreading the message in the meme. Getting the credit when a meme goes viral isn’t always as fun as it sounds, just ask HanSoloAsshole who made the Trump vs cnn meme and was doxxed for it.
So great! Excited to catch up with you at the after party at His table after this is through.
Can I encourage you: lean in. If something confuses you, ask. dig. investigate.
Some people are scared that if they have doubts or ask that it will all fall down.
It won’t.
We’ve been digging through this book for centuries and it’s solid as a rock.
Oh, and make sure you find a church and make yourself at home. Other Christians, brothers and sisters, are important
When you're ready and you've gotten done with the basics and the Watchers deep dive and have had direct communication with the Seraphim, ask me about why I think Enoch was Pythagoras.
They didn't. Many men lost their lives for printing and distributing Bibles across the ages. But after the advent of the printing press and the protestant reformation, it was impossible to contain. It remained a mortal sin in the Catholic Religion for a layman to read Scripture up until the Vatican II Council in the 1960s.
And If you can tolerate words like "thee" and "thou" I would recommend the KJV.
I can't do the thees and the thous myself. It's like I have to translate the scripture into English. I didn't grow up in church, so it is completely foreign to me.
I really like the NASB myself. And I highly recommend a study Bible. Ryrie is really good.
One of my roommates in college had a Greek Bible, and I loved it. We used to look words up in it all the time to get more precise meanings of certain words. We used to have so much fun looking up words. I really need to get one.
Years ago when he opened my eyes my first couple of times through scripture was with the NIV. It is a mistake I regret to this day. The KJV and a Strong's Concordance are adequate for most anything that might be a little confusing. No translation between languages can be perfect, and I have found issues in the KJV where the translation is literal, but appears to be off point in meaning, or at least confuses the meaning when checking Strong's. I personally have more trust in the KJV, but to each his own.
My husband has done extensive studying on Bible translations. (He went to Bible college) He prefers NASB to the KJV based on what he has learned. But, I agree to each their own. He is not against KJV, but based on his studies and research, he does not believe it's the best translation. But he and I know that a lot of people will vehemently disagree with that lol, and that's okay. I do enjoy reading passages on Bible Gateway from different translations. I feel that that gives a much better understanding of the passage because translating languages is very tricky.
Kek ?? so happy that this crazy experience has led you to Christ! ???

Go before God in prayer. He wants to hear from you. Lay all your worries at His feet. Do it with all sincerity. You will be amazed.

What do you mean by Paul's gospel?
Paul was an apostle of Christ, but he does not have his own gospel. I'd love for you to expand on this, so I know what exactly you mean.
God Bless you!!
you're only a terror to evil my friend are battle does not lie against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers and Heavenly places that is a real enemy a Divine enemy but we have The Divine King to lead us

Exactly! A relationship with Jesus won't guarantee smooth seas, but at least it provides a lighthouse and a safe harbor when life gets choppy!
You now have a guardian angel that is always with you...... You will see things differently..... trust me I know. Christ has been with me since I was 8. I am now 64.
I guess I am too! Amen ?☝️???????
I’m also determined to study the Bible! I’ve never felt so close to God!! Something good came out of all this chaos for me. ???? Now they’re trying to rewrite the Bible ????
I am so happy for you. Step one: STOP LOOKING AT PORN. Pornography is giving permission to Satan to destroy your soul.

Happy for you welcoming Him into your heart!
Totally there too, bud. I have noticed the good book is far more relevant than I thought. There really is a battle between good and evil
Everything functioning within the law of love builds up. Physically and spiritually.
I just want to say god bless you and I’m so happy this led you to Jesus. ??
Just an etiquette question for the board:
Is watermarking your memes a fren-ly thing to do?
a) it's alright; doowutchyalike
b) well, yeah, it does actually feel slightly skeezy
Small potatoes, next to the joy I feel about the OP finding Jesus Christ... but since I wasn't really around Pepetown during the Great Meme Wars of... a While Ago, I thought I'd use this opportunity to inquire. Watermarking memes, yay or nay or eh?
Eh
I felt the same way... until I saw a meme I made go viral to 2 million people and I received no credit. Not very Christian of me... admitedly.
Ah, good context. Thank you.
I guess my viewpoint is that I never had, and never want, a twitter name that I would want people to go to.
But I get it.
I feel like it's implemented in a lore friendly way right on the laptop, so I'm ok with it.
The only people who watermark memes are people who care more about getting credit than about spreading the message in the meme. Getting the credit when a meme goes viral isn’t always as fun as it sounds, just ask HanSoloAsshole who made the Trump vs cnn meme and was doxxed for it.
How awesome! May you experience the true definition of happiness and peace as you grow closer to Him! Bless you!
Praise God! Jesus is Lord!
Meme is dank. Christianity confirmed.
When you're ready and you've gotten done with the basics and the Watchers deep dive and have had direct communication with the Seraphim, ask me about why I think Enoch was Pythagoras.
Shits way fucking heavier than people think.
Ancient manuscripts - the Dead Sea Scrolls in particular. Manuscripts that are only decades removed from the events match modern source texts.
Do your research concerning the source material and do not compromise with seeking God's true word.

The King James Bible is the true word of God
I think a lot of people are turning back to god after seeing just how evil Xiden and the Democrats are.
Did you come out to your parents yet? Sometimes they take it hard.
