The thing about doubles that I find hard to believe is the voice. Even professional voice impersonators are usually not able to get a voice exactly right. And here not only do they need to find someone the right age and look to be the double, but then that person has to also be able to mimic the voice perfectly? And they are able to get all these perfect vocal mimics in all these different body types and sizes and ages? That doesn’t make sense to me.
To me a double would be used more like the Hillary double after she passed out in 2016. They keep her distant from the cameras for a photo shoot, she waves, minimal words exchanged. That is how it would make sense to use a double to me. But to send a double into a debate or to give a speech at a podium? I don’t know.
It would be interesting to hear some vocal comparisons between 2012 Biden and 2020 Biden. If all of these people are imposters, there should be some evidence of that in comparing their voices as much as their faces.

The two noses are completely different. Without knowing the dates, Merkel could easily have gotten a nose job before the top photo. If the bottom photo is more recent, then we have an imposter.

Nose and lips are NOT the same structure.
Top - nose is straight to tip and lips are thin with lower lip almost recessed.
Bottom - bulbous nose and lips are somewhat fuller with lower lip no longer recessed.
Even with age and weight loss these two photos don't add up.

The nose is entirely different. Not even remotely close to the same. The one on the bottom has rounder more pronounced cheeks as well.

I just am not sure because makeup and lighting can make huge differences in the appearance of the nose thickness.
