Trans is just the new goth or emo. It's just a fad or a way to escape their own failures. The issue here is that hormone therapy and surgery can do permanent damage. I feel so sorry for all the brainwashed kids who are going to make decisions they regret the rest of their lives.
The new equality act that just passed the house will force doctors to give hormones to any kid that asks for them REGARDLESS of what the parents or doctors want.
And that is just one part of this horrible bill. It also means churches can't hire based on religious beliefs.... which means if an atheist applies to work at a church, the church can't deny them the job on the basis of religious beliefs. Which is INSANE!
It also says that any biological man that "identifies" as a woman has the right to go into any bathroom/locker room. No more separate private spaces. As a woman this terrifies me. That I could be at a gym taking a shower and a man can just walk in and it's completely legal.

I have only had one experience. This boy was in the 6th grade and a classmate of my son. He came to hang out one day and played barbies with my daughter more than hanging with my son. His family was strong, manly Texan. His mother shared her concerns about what she feared when she came to get him later that afternoon. That 6th grade boy is now pushing 40 as an angry but surprisingly beautiful Trans woman. Small town Texas. Parents and grandparents the pillars of the town. Had to be rough. This one was not weird parents confusing a kid or environment raising a pervert. But then again it's the only one I have personally known. Take it for what it is.
