Why did the US government pay Saudi Nationals up to 5k a month to attend US universities yet active duty veterans made less than 20% of that and had to maintain duty requirements.
I've known some of those Saudi students in the past. Very fun people, but like really bad children. Completely feckless and irresponsible.
The Saudis that were here in CA were all (at the time) either very wealthy or connected to the royal family, and their parents were NOT what you'd call GOOD parents. Gonna go out on a limb here and say that the funds for Saudi nationals are not really necessary. Saudi peasants don't get to come here.
That’s very interesting. More and more I’m starting to think that virtually all foreign aid is just a way for the government to rob us blind and give it to their friends in a sort of money laundering scheme. I’d almost go as far to say just about ALL taxes are used for such things.
If I were homeless... the last place I'd want to be is in a U.S. Government "tent city". I'd rather sleep out in a local park or in a cardboard box in an alley.
The instant you choose to live in a "tent city"... you agree to follow their rules. Everything you do is by their rules. You eat at certain times, you can wash at certain times, you can exercise when it's your time... but it's all under government control. Access to alcohol (or drugs) would be non-existent.
Also, living in a city means you are close to work (or odd jobs that pay some cash). Tent cities would be typically built in areas far from any potential work. Living in a city means you are always surrounded by entertainment. A tent city would surround you with depression.
If you suddenly built 1,000 tent cities, enough for every homeless person in America... you could expect about 10% occupancy. The rest would choose to stay away.
The commies are housing illegals in hotels, but not vets?
Perhaps a better solution than a "tent" city would be to simply provide the means for shelter for homeless vets: if not cash then the shelter itself. Let them choose where it should be placed.
Unless you made vagrancy illegal and mandated homeless occupy tent cities with food, shelter, healthcare, counseling, education. It may be so unpleasant, people may want to get off drugs and rejoin society. Or they may get the drugs they need for psych problems and stop self-medicating.
The problem is homeless get fed funding, section 8 housing, and want to panhandle in the cities to get money for their poison of choice. And the cities don’t want to solve the problem because they make so much with homeless funding, there is no need to balance budgets.
here is a way to get rid of homelessness. Change the rules for low rent rentals...Most property owners will refuse to rent and investors refuse to invest in low income housing becouse of the potential to loose money when you get a Tennent that is destructive to the property or refuses to pay rent. If we had three day evictions and free law enforcement enforcement on evictions for low rent housing there would bring a flood of affordable housing across the nation and for some an exit off the streets.
An interesting thing going on in California is that people are selling their million dollar homes with the moveout agreement stating they have 30 days to move out.
They then squat and you can't evict them out of the house you just bought. It is seriously fucked up.
Because if you don’t follow the American dream with good credit you’ll end up homeless. Now if they guaranteed everyone a little apartment which they do in Germany then the fear factor wouldn’t work.
Not really. Open up a credit card, make a small purchase and pay it in full by the time the bill is due. You might even earn 1-3% cashback in the process and you pay the cost of the goods and services you purchased and not a penny more.
Granted, your first credit card will likely have no rewards and a limit of like $150.
As a veteran, don't accuse us of being homeless. Whiles there's many misconceptions about leaving the military the most frustrating one is that a majority of us end up a degenerate. Not true! Most probably get fucked over on benefits but most I know are successful at contributing to society. America is our home, sometimes we are roof-less for a bit but we drink water and drive on.
Actually, my family in WA have helped a number of homeless vets. One was freezing to death on the street, they took him in for a while 'till he got better and bought him a truck to help him get back on his feet.
Always taught my daughter to befriend and care for the people nobody wants to know. She started when she was little bringing kids home who were friendless or neglected. One girl had never been asked to to come visit anyone and was so happy to be invited. She helped homeless folk when she was a student, sometimes bringing them back to sleep on her floor. One poor boy was so worn out he slept for 2 days straight. She washed his clothes, fed him and he went his way. She saw him years later; he was clearly doing well. They recognised each other but couldn't speak, just smiled. Glad to see she and her husband are still helping folk. She is struggling with her faith right now, but I take comfort in knowing she can't have fallen far from the Lord if she is loving the unloved and doing her bit.
Or, you know, we could grant 10 acres to anyone who lives for 2 years on federal land working the land. They can't sell it for 50 years or something, but it would be theirs if they live there continuously. Bring back the homesteading act.
Simple answer is they don't give a fiddler's fuck about veterans. Not unless its an election year and they want photo ops. Trump was the only exception. I will be forever grateful for all he did and does. The rest can dry up and blow away as far as I am concerned. I served in the Army from 2000-2010. I know I volunteered and I am not trying to beat my chest about my service. There is a long list of veterans that deserve more praise and accolades than I ever will. I just did my part.
I feel ya, I would down vote it too. It's shameful and disgusting that we (I) are allowing this to happen in our country. I just keep praying enough will wake-up before it is too late. Might already be too late.
homeless Americans don't vote and honestly at that point could careless about government in general. With illegals they see that demoncrats fought to bring them here so they are misguided and vote for the demons. I scratch your back you scratch mine.
Excellent point! Dem government likes the dystopian world of Soylent green and people fighting amongst each other. There is so much that can be don’t but they lack the will.

Even when they award contracts to build roads it's often bloated contracts to their buddies' companies.
Why are chinese attending classes on AI and robotics that are in chinese only in elite american schools while Americans get gender theory.
Good redpill meme material. Picture of homeless tents on sidewalks marked 'citizens', next to this picture marked 'illegals'.
If it's already been done, I apologize for being late.
Good idea. I haven't seen one.
I hope this meets your approval

I think it's perfect!!! ????
You should make it a post and encourage everyone to steal and spread everywhere.
Edit: I just saw that you already did! BRAVO!!!
;)

live in California and lots of evictions on hold till June when the moratorium is lifted.
Even if you follow their rules, it gives you an opportunity to pick yourself up, get food in your belly, wash up, and start looking for work.
Granted, a gym membership would give you a place to hang out and wash up as well.
Because if you don’t follow the American dream with good credit you’ll end up homeless. Now if they guaranteed everyone a little apartment which they do in Germany then the fear factor wouldn’t work.
And the catch is, to have good credit you MUST take on some debt.

Eh... it doesn't fit their narrative - heaven forbid helping an AMERICAN citizen!
I'm wondering what that white stuff is they put on the ground.
Authorities tore down a homeless tent city village in Richmond VA.
It's heart-breaking to know what an utter lie our system has become.

Because it isn't about helping anyone really.

Stop fighting the system, fool. ... just get in line.... hola
I'm about to find a forest.to disappear into.
Because fuck American citizens that's why. Libfags don't give a goddamn about our own citizenry.

Because they care about potential new tax dollars vs tax dollars they’re already getting.

For the homeless mentally ill and/or physically handicapped.

Why? Because they makes too much sense. The Feds have none, so...
Trudeau just puts them up in nice hotels, owned by the CCP.
So does Bozo Johnson in the UK.
