How can they justify banning him though? It's not like he wrote an article and they can just say he made it up. He literally has the CNN guy admitting this stuff on tape. They know they're all eventually done.
They cant justify it. I predict a court case up in here. Veritas hasnt lost a single one yet - YouTube is smarter, they realise they cant ban them.

If that is the case, Twitter is shielded by section 230 for better or worse. Courts have given websites the ability to enforce community rules for user generated content unless the content violates the law.
Veritas should move to a different site, imho. Using Twitter only lets Twitter win.
Thus why the people crying 230 is good as if something new couldn't be brought to protect smaller sites are stupid.

It needs clarification and updating. I understand giving sites the ability to remove spam and trolls without being considered a publisher. But PV is a legitimate organization trying to publish information that's relevant to the public. Twitter should be understood to exercise editorial control by banning them.
my bet is that veritas has the goods on twitter. if he can get into discovery with twitter just about every one involved in using social media and news is exposed.

I read the comments from leftists on the video. They say things like "nice editing", or cite some past thing O'Keefe had to retract or was sued over. In typical leftist fashion, either name call or deflect; never able to actually either defend their views, or debate any info/views you have.

Playing Devil’s Advocate here for a minute, but if 230 were repealed yesterday, wouldn’t a lot of the comments made on TdW and GAW become Plaintiff’s Exhibits 1 thru 300? I thought that was why Trump backed off on it, after he made a big fuss about repealing it. His new platform would be subject to the same content liabilities as twatter and the like. And what’s to stop shills from the left coming and planting crap on our sites to get these sites into perpetual litigation? Spec: I don’t have any good solutions. Just complaining again.
Clarence Thomas said that the FCC should regulate under a common carrier rule. It's unclear if the FCC could just regulate some firms like this, they would have to regulate everyone. That's very dangerous to give the government so much power imho.
Note that Kavanaugh, under a ruling when was in the DC court, said that the FCC couldn't even regulate broadband under common carrier rules.
I think the only way to reasonable reform is not through FCC but by congress. I think a lot of people agree that reform needs to happen, just not under the Telecommunications Act.

Of course my orginal twitter from 2008 got banned in the Great Purge in January but I maintain a "liberal" account I created around the midterms. I've been slowly moving it toward an "awakening" sock puppet. But I've created 3 more since January where I'm "myself". One lasted a month, the second one about a week, and the most recent one lasted 2 tweets, the second being #FreeJamesOKeefe...insta-ban. I hope James gets a Lin Wood-sized settlement that brings them to their knees. And the day I hear of a class action suit I'll be joining it.
