Digging through some paperwork and I discovered my official 2020 General Election ballot. Since I voted in person I didn’t use it and figured it would be a neat momento in the future. Any suggestions on where to buy a black light? The local weed dispensary maybe? LOL

Infrared (below red) and ultra violet (above violet) are two different things. Getting a black light will help you see fluorescent fibers, while an IR binoculars will help you see in low light conditions.

I remember tripping on acid when I was about 17 and driving to the mall with three other people (not recommended) just to go to Spencers.
That's much farther than I would have pushed...couldn't imagine going into an 80s mall with a head full of acid.
They are always marked way up at Spencer's, you can get them way cheaper at the hardware store. And bigger too.

Is there a cheep-ish option out there? I have an old Hi-8 video camera that mimicked night vison but I doubt it was true night vision. Although it did make your eyes glow in a freaky way.
Get a black light bulb at Spencers. Cheaper than a tube. IR not what you want. Black light=Ultraviolet wavelength. The bulbs get HOT fyi.

As for a black light, I found the most amazing led UV flashlight that came in a pet spot remover kit. takes a few triple A’s but it’s a CSI level black light for cheap.

Carpet is disgusting, we have been working on replacing carpet in our house with Luxury Vinal Flooring - luckily the previous owner didn't have any pets but it was still absolutely disgusting underneath! I used the pet light I bought from PetCo yesterday on our six month old area rug in our living room... LOL It looked like a Jackson Pollock painting! The highlighted areas aren't pools of pee from our dogs but maybe splashes of pee after they come in from outside? I'm actually quite disturbed right now.

Guys EVERY LARGE printer has a watermark in their printed pages. Every single large machine.

However some home printers do not... So OFFICIAL ballots would have a watermark but the home ones that were printed to replace drop box ballots would not.
No dod/Q/white hat watermarks were needed.

I checked my ballot with the blacklight I use to hunt scorpions with and I didn't see anything light up on mine. Not Ca though, one over.
There are some other things you could check like little yellow dots on the paper that are in a distinct pattern

I don't think it's the presence of marks that is significant, it is what those marks say. They are probably checking the paper to see if it has the correct identification signatures.

correct me if im wrong, but yours should be legit since you are a real person who actually voted. they would use the fake ballots for fake people or people who should not be voting.
Right, but the fake ballots wouldn’t have the markings that are found on the “real” ballots. Hence, the reason they are putting the ballots into that black box... they are checking for something, a hidden image or maybe a pattern of specs that only show up underneath those lights.
Actually, I believe the fake ballots will have the publicized watermark. CISA (or each state?) published the watermark for the election. I think there is another watermark or dot pattern that wasn't published and that will not be on the counterfeit ballots.

There is a possibility that those lights they are using in AZ are different than the pot store bulbs. Just saying, if they did do this to trap them they might've created something harder to detect.
