How is this okay? Its literally discrimination... Im very distraught and dont know if there is anything that can be done about them treating people like this...

Of course there is something that can be done. SUE them to oblivion. If you have a medical condition, that would mean you'd be protected by the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act.) If you have a disability, stores are supposed to accomodate you. They didn't. In fact, they even harmed and humiliated you. There are lawyers willing to take on this type of case pro-bono. Do a search and also check the America's Frontline Doctors website for more info on your legal rights. Whatever you decide, please DO something. People being 'nice' and letting this type of thing go is what has led to this mess with our rights being taken away and abused. Don't let that continue! You have a case here. Good luck!
sue and get your gibs… manager will probably get canned, another win.
I know.. Ive seen so many people be nice and not do anything.. I just dont want to be labeled as a money grabbing faker... I legitimately have a medical issue that is recorded in my medical file.. When I was there I took a full length video of the entire event.. Im worried that this whole thing will be a frivolous pursuit ending with having to pay out thousands of dollars and time.. Am I even in the right? They literally revoked my membership.. I went to double check my account when I got home and it says it was cancelled.. They say they offer insta cart but that website doesnt actually have everything on it.. Every time ive been in I stop by the book, plant and clothing section along with often buying fresh flowers.. They dont have these things listed..
Your worried about being a money grab faker but they were more than okay with doing what they did. Grow a pair of balls and sue them
Why don't you go to the frontline doctors site where they have legal information? I wouldn't shop there and would tell everyone who would listen how they discriminated against you. Call the local news station and complain. See if they'll do a story without divulging your name and face. Sometimes the pressure from publicity shames them into making it right by you.
Frivolous is suing McDonalds for coffee being too hot after yo spill it in your own lap.
What you have is legit.
McDonald's kept their coffee at nearly boiling temperatures. Would you hand someone a flimsy cup of boiling water?
Look down. Yup see that stuff its your testosterone pick it up and start lawyer shopping
You need to muster courage to do what you should do and stand up for what should be right and just.
The failure to act and to speak up by regular people worldwide is what has brought on this corruption in the first place. In your case, it endows this manager more power, authority and hubris with which to humiliate other patrons who also have medical exemptions and disabilities, and for other things other than masks. It will let them kick over people with crutches and tip over the wheelchair-bound.
Of course you will be labeled a money grabbing faker by those cowards who are corrupt in spirit, and who seek to uphold the system that humiliated you in the first place. And yet, you will be lauded a hero among those common folk and patriots who have even less ability than you, but wish to see their own chains unshackled.
But your reputation is not why you should decide to take action. You should take action because it is your God-given duty to uphold the Truth and the Law.
Thank you. This is sincerely encouraging. I have contacted front line doctors legal team and hope that something will be done. God help us.
I just wanted to let You know. I’ve contacted front line doctors legal team and will be hearing back from them in a week or so
Excellent. Good for you and thank you for telling me. It's good to know your options. You don't have to move forward on a lawsuit if you ultimately decide you don't want to. But having the relevant information will make it easier for you to determine your way forward. Honestly, I can't believe what some businesses have been getting away with. It might be harder for little mom and pop shops to know all the intricacies of law (still no excuse) but a big company / corporation like this has zero excuse. ZERO. So good luck as always and again, please keep us informed. We are rooting for you.
That's weird. In the past 3 days, I've been to Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, HEB, Kroger, Sam's Club and other stores... and haven't worn a mask a single time. In fact, half the people in the stores are no longer wearing masks, including employees.
Most of the restaurants around Houston no longer require masks either.
Texas has ZERO covid-19 fatalities for the last 2 months. Our hospitals and clinics are empty... and NOBODY is getting sick. This is with more than 1/2 the people no longer wearing masks. :>)
I wish other states would stop making their own citizens sick.
It depends on where you live. Denver isn't very friendly to people that don't want to wear a mask.
Sad. Colorado Springs doesn't seem to care. Gone all places maskless.
Crazy how a few miles makes such a difference. They won't say anything if I'm pumping gas but I never get more than a few steps in the door before the say something. I did go to king soopers without a mask less than a week ago and they didn't say anything. That was the first time though. I need to stop supporting that damn place.
Longmont/Loveland are also going fairly maskless. You still see masks, but you see a lot of unmasked and I don't get hassled.
Denver is now pretty much maskless. Friday June 4 was the first day. Gas station with 20 people in it 0 masks. Only maybe %15 wore masks in the grocery store. Its so nice because you can tell the maskers want to say something but in the blink of an eye they are now the minority. Glorious
Cool. I'll put Denver on my places to visit before the plandemic is over.
Denver's gone shit hole. Looks like LA homeless camps. Don't support Denver with your cash.
I agree, im only in the city for work. Its insane how fast its gone down hill. The amount of litter you see that was never here before is disgusting. I used to live in evergreen and they even had problems with the homeless living in the woods then taking their whole family to the rec center and locking themselves in the showers for hours at a time. It got to the point where locals couldn't even use the facility. Jeffco would take them down the hill but they would be back the same day.
Can you give me a good list of non chain restaurants that do not require masks to walk in and order in Houston?
There are a LOT of restaurants in Houston that don't require masks anymore.
Lost Cajun is one I was at on Monday. No mask req'd. Texas Roadhouse doesn't require masks. Italiano's doesn't require masks.
Iguana Joe's doesn't require masks.
Charley's Cheesesteak & Wings doesn't require masks.
If you have any concerns... just call the restaurant and ask if masks are required. Most will tell you that they are encouraged or optional... but I only know a few restaurants that still require them anymore.
Was Lost Cajun any good? I've seen them pop up all over TX but haven't been yet.
Lost Cajun is definitely Cajun food. Nothing fake about it.
If you're in NE Houston, I do recommend them.
I actually like another Cajun restaurant as well... Cafe Rayne. The chef is from New Orleans and family relocated after Katrina.
I'll definitely check them out, thanks!
Italianos is so good.
Check these guys out!

It's America. You nuke them from orbit in court.
Yes its called a lawsuit. Sue Costco for what you can get out of them.
Call corporate.
i just quit going to Costco...
Don't shop there.
Did you resist the police brutality or did you comply...? Did you file a complaint with the coppers against costco for false police calls, SWATting as it were?
There is a lot that 'you' could have done but oh well huh.

You must be in a blue state that still has a mask mandate. Costco ditched the mask enforcement in states that have lifted theirs.
It will be harder to sue in this case because they'll claim they're complying with state officials for public safety.
Weird. I'm in Portland and Costco says you don't need one if vaxxed-no proof required.
Its this kind of stuff that really pisses me off. Just like some people take tylenol because they cant take aspirin, there is no treatment that works for every single person on earth. I have about 6 different cardiac diagnoses and 2 of the lung. When I had to I could wear a mask for only about 30 minutes before I start gasping for air. You can have proof (even at your own doctors' office) but they dont care. They only comply with the rules given to them WITHOUT regard to the patient's needs. Yes, I would look into suing....even just a govt agency questioning Costco should make them ............ their pants.
I would start with others that share your disability and see who have been forced to mask up putting them at risk or not getting service/publicly humiliated. Then forming class action against the Gov't and the businesses.
Contact American Frontline Doctors, they can connect you to a lawyer for a small fee who will take you case.

The fact that Costco has MASSIVE inconsistencies within the same counties/cities is legit evidence FOR your case-- I am a King Co (Seattle) resident- there exists certain Costcos within our county that are on opposite policies. Mo mask enforcement & few employees wearing, to screaming covididiot throwing shoppers on oxygen out for no mask. And 100% Costco DOES NOT provide the same merchandise online as it does in stores--some stores don't even carry the same products as neighboring stores!
Sue, sue, sue em for every dollar they got.
write an email to costco corporate asking what the national poilcy is since you have heard there are thousands of people that go the there locations with out masks all across the nation. ask them point blank if this is a discrimination thing and that you and your lawyers look forward to their explanation about this incident. even if it is only a bluff, at least you did something.
personally, I would shop around your case and see if there is any lawyer willing to take it.
SUE. Spend your $ somewhere else.
Sue
Someone could own a Costco. What did Q say about lawsuits?
Sue them into the ground for discrimination?
Sue and make some money while redpilling people.
You should do something. Maybe begin with calling corporate. If they do not do anything about it, go the route of a lawsuit. If you happen to revive any monetary compensation, you can donate it.
I canceled my membership they didn't care about medical conditions. Class action.
In Oregon, my gym put up signs two weeks ago no mask required if you are vaccinated and I identify as vaccinated. Today walking in without any mask new signs said to show your vax card or mask up. I just scanned and walked in, if challenged will be discussing HIPPA for starters..
Share the manager’s info, they were just following orders, so nothing could ever happen/ be done to them. /s
Sue. I canceled my Costco membership because of their policies on masks.
Have to hit them in the wallet to affect change
Costco are nazis
Must be a state thing I went to a Costco's North Milwaukee last week only about a third of the people had masks on no requirement, nothing posted on the door
This didn’t happen. Costco corporation didn’t revoke your membership for not wearing a mask. I mean, if they did, you will be rich within a year. But we both know you’re not that lucky.
They didn’t give a reason why they revoked my membership but the officer said he was called because I wouldn’t wear a mask and that they are asking for my card so they can revoke my membership.. I have the whole interaction on video.. from start to end.. about a half hour long total..
You're getting downvoted, but I tend to agree.
After the CDC "updated" their guidance, most places don't even look my direction. I was just at Sam's Club yesterday and their updated sign indicated that "Vaccinated people can enter without a mask..."
And no one is checking, obviously. No one even looks at me, and I'm in a pretty liberal city. I have a hard time thinking that the cops were called.
They aren’t allowed to ask…and if they do, it is not incumbent upon the customer to answer. Well unless your Dr. is moonlighting at Costco.
America's Frontline Doctors site is a good place to start!
