I recently bought a mask only out of respect for one of the parishes I attend. I take my faith serious and won't let a little piece of cloth get in my way of worship. It's the only place I wear it.
Being a sheep isn't always a bad thing, I am unsure if you are implying in this situation as it being bad but like I said the only reason I am doing it is out of respect for him. He isn't born in America, he is from Egypt and they have dealt with true persecution there in Egypt so his views are different in that aspect. Maybe he thinks he is doing the right thing or maybe he is afraid of deportation.

Went to Walmart this morning. Door monitor told me I had to mask. I just said "Health exemption" and walked in. Sadly only we older folk (I'm middle aged) were the only ones maskless. I saw a little old lady with her mask hanging from one ear (gave her a smile and she smiled back). In line at the check out there was an older man with a gaiter around his neck but not pulled up. Everyone else was masked. Other than the door monitor no one else said anything.
It's varying drastically by area, I'm not see much reversal in Kane or DuPage counties. Went out to lunch and even all but one employee were without masks and the plexiglass has been coming down as well.
Start chatting with people in line. Briefly tell them they do not have to obey. If they choose freedom then we will defend them! They are free… they need only reach out and seize it! It starts with you Patriot 😊
Oh I wish I could do that! I have terrible anxiety and panic attacks. It took all my strength just to go in. I was actually pleasantly surprised that I dealt with the door minder. I had heard that they won't bother you at Walmart but this one was confrontational. I'll leave the outreach up to the stronger pedes.

Brah... you gotta read your surroundings. It's easy to act all tough guy never wear a mask when your comfortably in areas with like minded folk. Deep blue Cali is the worst place to make a statement and if OP is gonna comply just to keep from causing an incident, then that is their choice to do so.

Earlier someone on the board made an astute observation about Walmart and their empty shelves: a lot of things at Walmart come from China. I think that says it all.
Shoplifting is rampant in much of California after the state publicly announced it wasn't going after misdemeanor shoplifters (which in CA is anything under $950).
Considering the fine is $1000 even if they do enforce it, you're taking a less than $50 gamble every time you steal massive amounts of goods...

I can confirm. Same here in NJ. Although depending where in the state you are, you’ll see more or less masks. But most are unmasked, and no one is starting problems.

I spent all last summer refusing blatantly to wear a mask, social distance, or shut up about obvious violations to people’s rights. I approached EVERY law enforcement officer, fire fighter, and any other professional wearing a mask and let them know a mandate IS NOT law. We are NOT obligated to obey unless we choose to. It was a heated summer but I stood my ground… I am holding the line and standing for my people!

I have been asked to wear one twice then asked to leave once, but mostly just ignored by people and now I hardly see anyone wearing them.
If you ever get stopped, you can say, "Just because I'm a high school graduate doesn't mean I can read."
