I’m in the minority on this because I’m a woman but … I honestly don’t think women should vote. Are there conservative women who DO vote right? Absolutely. (Our pedes) But a vast majority vote liberal and vote with emotion.
It SHOULD be women stay home and raise families and men get one vote for the good of their household. Men vote logically and without emotion meaning more conservative overall.
But that’s just me. ;)
Truly, we aren’t and that’s not a bad thing. God created us to be nurturers and men to be leaders. And that’s ok! Women in general go with emotion because it is psychologically built into us!
In today’s age, women want to lead and not be led. In reality our calling from God is to stay home under a husbands leadership and raise our children in the way they should go. I’m 33, so I’m in the SMALL minority of women my age who think the way I do. I most certainly do not hate women lol, I just understand the roles God gave us are unique. Women no longer want to be helpmeets.
I’ve seen so many posts on here with husbands saying their wives are liberal and it causes strife, etc. which is heartbreaking. Instead of being helpmeets for the men on here who are trying to lead their families in the right way, they are being sabotaged by the women who are supposed to stand by them. I can’t imagine. That will kill morale faster than any government ever could.
God made a man and a woman to function as a team. Either gender on its own has massive flaws but together they are more than formidable. If each household had one vote I most certainly would discuss with my wife who was the best choice for our family and the decision would be OURS not mine. And that is because our relationship is built on trust and love and respect.

Like you said, each gender has it own flaws and strengths and working as a team makes the flaws fade and the strengths stronger than anything. Women can have a say on what happens in the home, but only men should make decisions for what goes on outside. That’s the natural God-given way of things.
That is a wonderful attitude to have in marriage! It’s teamwork! Neither a competition nor a master/slave relationship. You are equal, interdependent partners. I respectfully disagree with all of your thoughts here. I'm an autistic woman, and know many, many hotheaded and emotional men. People are very different: within that fraction of genes we don't all share is a lot of variability. And that, imo, is a good thing.

Can you just imagine how great life would be for all if women stayed home with the kids and men worked...not to say women aren't capable but it's an absolute matter of supply and demand. I know an older lady who is very sweet and feminine. She told me she can't believe the attention she gets, even from younger men. I think it's for the very reason that she is feminine.

I'm doing my best. I raised my daughter basically alone, and it's not easy without having a partner to rely on. A loving family unit is the ideal, but so many homes are split apart now.
It's been hard for both men and women to navigate this world successfully. If we could manage to do our personal work and stand side by side, free of the usual issues that arise between the [two] sexes...well it would all be so much easier and more fulfilling.
Right now, we're largely the walking wounded when it comes to relationships and owning our sexuality. I'm not sure how it all resolves between men and women, but I'm happy to be who I am ~ a non-feminist human female that truly loves and appreciates men.

I think women also feel forced to step up to the plate. Men knock up women and don't stick around. The women have to go to work to support themselves. The men eventually pay into child support and marry and have a new family. He's now financially supporting 2 families. Or he never settles down and is a dead beat...
Boys are raised without fathers, the cycle continues or worsens. Either way, women are forced to do it all.

I always wanted to be a stay at home mom and have 4 kids. I couldn't have children. We only had one adopted child. I was a stay at home mom until she was 5 (luckily my husband made enough money so we could do this) then I went back to get a masters degree in my field so I could work without being told I needed one. I still would have preferred being home raising more kids. But I worked with other people's kids and with their parents and even though I am now retired... I hope that I made a difference in all their lives.

Umm, voting isn’t in the Bible. Also, the Bible was written to ancient peoples whose paterfamilias had legal authority to even kill their adult children (Roman times). They could also legally kill their slaves, and could physically beat their wives as a means of discipline. Why? Because they were legally responsible for household members’ actions/torts. Compared to the household codes of the times, Paul’s instructions to families Nate a breath of fresh air. He is NOT reinforcing the paterfamilias’ legal rights over household members, but is steering the head of household to lay down power in service to others. Legal power of the paterfamilias was a fact of life and a part of Roman government. It wasn’t going away, and if Paul were to try to do away with it, the Romans would have seen it as subversive to the state. On that note, you realize that 19th century women’s rights (not the hippy crud but the ones that matter) went hand in hand with the abolition of slavery? First wave feminists were largely abolitionists. Many good Christian MEN were feminists/suffragists and relied on the Bible’s trajectory of mutual servant-hood freedom. The whole reason you can have a bank account or a credit card today without a male guardian to co-sign for you is because of this movement. Just because communists hijacked the whole thing doesn’t mean we should knee-jerk and throw out the good that God blessed us with. We need to win hearts and minds to Jesus. He brings real freedom and turns despots into servants.
